Third POV:
Night falls over the Autobot base, hidden deep within the mountains.
The humans sleep. The world continues. But within the heart of the base, something stirs.
A low pulse hums from the medbay—subtle, but enough to make Ratchet glance at the monitors. Influx's energy signature has shifted. Not unstable. Just... different.
Ratchet leans in, scanning closer.
"She's adapting," he mutters under his breath. "Her systems are rewriting themselves."
Ironhide walks in, arms crossed. "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?"
"I don't know yet."
Behind them, a soft echo flickers across the system.
Influx POV:
I'm drifting... through stars that feel familiar.
They swirl around me in constellations I don't recognize, but I know I've seen them before. I am not awake—but I am not gone. I hear faint voices in the dark. Some are quiet. Others are new.
One whispers with worry.
Another, deep and strong, speaks with purpose.
And a third... a child's voice. Curious. Bright.
Where are they coming from...?
But then, something else—
A voice I know.
"Hey, kid... don't forget me just yet."
Jazz.
He's faint, distant, but clear. He's still watching. Still waiting.
"I'm not ready to check out for good. When you wake up... we'll talk."
My spark shivers. He's near. Not truly alive. But not gone, either.
I reach toward him, and the stars blink—one by one.
Something is calling me back.
Not yet to full wakefulness... but soon.
Optimus Prime POV:
I sit beside her again.
Even now, after everything, her frame still gives off a soft light. Like a star nestled in metal and circuits. No longer a weapon. Not even a tool.
She is something new.
She healed me, though she barely knew me. Not because she was told to... but because it was right.
We were kin now, even if neither of us truly knew what that would mean.
She chose us.
I glance at the sky above, quiet and distant.
"Whatever comes next... we face it together."
Ratchet POV:
A new reading flashes across my screen. Her spark has stabilized further, but it's more than that.
It's syncing. With Prime.
"Primus..." I whisper, checking the readings again.
She's forming a bond. Not just emotional—structural. Ancient. Something that hasn't been seen since the earliest Primes.
This isn't just a link. It's a foundation. A chosen connection.
My hand hovers above the control pad, unsure if I should inform the others just yet. I glance through the glass and see Prime, optics closed, his field calm. Her glow pulses in time with his.
Then something blinks on the secondary monitor.
An echo.
Faint... but unmistakable.
"Jazz...?"
I don't know why I say it. But I do.
And the pulse answers.
Influx POV:
I feel it now.
The presence.
He's close. His spark surrounds me like a shield. And mine—my core—it's responding.
I don't remember when I started to sync with him... only that it felt right. Safe.
But I'm not alone here.
Jazz's echo clings to the stars, waiting.
Not ready. But near.
I'm not ready to wake. But soon... soon I will be.
And when I do—there will be much to say.
Much to protect.
And someone to bring home.
