Ella quickly ran to her room and slammed the door. She jumped onto her bed and started crying. After a few minutes she got up and looked into her closet. She found a comfortable outfit and put it on.
She took her hair out of the bun that she had it in and sat in her bed. She opened her cabinet drawer and pulled out a book her grandmother had given for her birthday. She opened it and started reading.
When less than five minutes were left before she had to get fitted she put her book away and got the outfit her mother got her to make it easier for the fitter. She then put her hair into a bun and walked to her mother to go to the fitting room.
"There is a new fitter today. If you like her, she will be invited to your wedding." her mother explained. Ella didn't respond. She was still upset.
When they walked into the room, Ella saw a gorgeous woman, the most beautiful girl she's ever seen. She stared for a second, but she was snapped out of her thoughts when the woman spoke.
"Hi! I'm Emma, I'll be your fitter today." the woman, Emma, explained. Ella walked up to the place where she was supposed to stand and her mother left the room.
Emma walked over to her. Wow, she's even prettier close up. Ella thought. Emma got the dress that Ella's mother had designed. Here Ella, this is the dress your mother designed, I need to make adjustments so I can make sure it fits." Emma explained.
Ella took the dress. As she was taking her shirt off, she noticed Emma staring. "See something you like?" she asked smugly. Emma quickly stammered an apology and turned around. Ella continued putting the dress on. "Done." Ella finally said. Emma turned back around and grabbed her pins.
"So, who's the lucky guy?" Emma asked quietly as she started to pin the dress. Ella was caught off guard. "Oh, uh, it's Filip Olsen, Prince of Norway…" Ella responded. "Oh, I bet you'll be really cute together." Emma said even quieter. "Yeah…" Ella barely said.
After a few moments of silence Emma finally spoke up. "Do you love him?" she asked out of nowhere. Ella almost fell over, causing the pin to prick her in the side. "Sorry!" Emma immediately apologized. "No, no, it's fine." Ella reassured her. After a second, Ella answered the question.
"No, I don't love him." she built up the courage to say. Emma almost pricked Ella again. Ella had no doubt in her mind. She hated Filip with every ounce of her body, but there was no use in trying to get out of this. Emma felt sympathy. She didn't think Ella should go through this.
"Innocent question that you totally don't have to answer… are you even into guys?" Emma questioned. Ella took a second to think about her response. If it got out to the public, then maybe people would help her to get out of this situation. And if it didn't, well, okay. She decided to tell her.
"No, I'm gay." Ella finally answered. Emma felt butterflies in her stomach. "If it makes you feel better, so am I." Emma laughed. The two girls continued talking and laughing, slowly growing closer and closer.
"Done!" Emma exclaimed after half an hour. She zipped Ella out of the dress and took it from her, looking down so she didn't see her. Ella put her clothes back on and thanked Emma. "No problem! I'll see you around!" Emma said. Ella smiled and walked out.
It was nearly an hour after Emma had finished fitting Ella. Ella was now in the study and making the plans for her wedding, well… more like she was just sitting in the study watching her parents talk about what would be ‘best’ for her wedding.
She was reading when memories of Emma popped up in her head. She suddenly felt really hot and shot up from her seat.
“I'LL BE RIGHT BACK I HAVE TO USE THE BATHROOM!” She exclaimed before rushing out of the study and into the bathroom. Her siblings exchanged smug glances, they heard what was happening through the door earlier.
She quickly washed up and before she could leave she heard a knock on the door, along with her mother’s voice.
“Hon? We have some more news for you” she said. Ella walked out of the bathroom and looked at her mother.
“You have to go back to the fitting room, they apparently aren't sure if they got the right measurements. Ella nodded her head and got ready for the fitting once again, her mind rushing with thoughts about Emma.
When Ella got back in the fitting room, she saw Emma again. "Hey, can you stay here while I finish sewing this last bit? I need to fit it again, sew, and then fit it one more time for it to be perfect." she explained. "Sure!" Ella excitedly said. More time with Emma? Heck yeah!
After some talking about random things, Emma had finished with the one part. "Okay, I need you to put this on again." Emma said as she handed Ella the dress and turned around.
After Ella had gotten the dress on and Emma started fitting her, Emma had to ask a question. "I know you don't love Filip… and your mother told me I was invited to the wedding so…" she started, "do you want me to object?" she finished.
Ella was startled. Yes, a million times yes! she thought. But as she was about to say that, she remembered the way Kasper had yelled at her parents. She didn't want them to have to go through that again.
"No." she simply said. "Are you sure? It's really no big dea-'' Emma tried to say. "No!" Ella interrupted a little too loudly. Emma accidentally poked her with the pin.
"I- I mean-" Ella stammered. "I'm sorry, just please don't." Ella apologized. Emma looked sad. "Okay, I won't." she said softly.
After that fitting, Emma got to work on the dress again. Ella watched her work. Damn, she's good. Ella admired. She didn't realize she was staring. "Hey, you okay?" Emma asked. She snapped out of her trance. "Oh- uh- yeah!" she rushed to say.
Emma finished and fitted her again. There was little to no talking. Ella felt horrible. This is my fault. She thought. Why did I have to yell at her? She ridiculed herself.
"Emma I'm really sorry." She apologized again. She really was sorry. "It's okay, I've already said that!" Emma laughed. The girls began to talk more and Ella instantly felt better.
Emma finally finished the last fitting and made the final adjustments to the dress. It took her a while because she was talking to Ella, but it eventually got done.
"Okay, done! You should try it on!" Emma recommended. Ella took the dress and put it on. Emma just stared at Ella once she saw her. She looked beautiful, the dress had a beautiful train and it showed off Ella's gorgeous features. Emma didn't realize she was staring.
"Em, you good?" Ella asked. "Yeah, yeah! You look incredible!" Emma complimented, but then realized what she had called her. "Em?" she asked. "Oh, is it okay if I call you that?" Ella asked shyly. "Yeah it's fine! I was just confused." Emma laughed.
The girls talked a little more, and eventually Ella took the dress off. The two went their separate ways. Ella's mother stopped her as she left.
"Honey, I need you to promise me something." her mother said seriously. Ella was confused. "What is it?" she asked honestly. Her mother took a deep breath.
"Promise you will say I do on Sunday." her mother demanded. Ella thought for a moment. She couldn't say no to her mom. "I promise." she finally said.
