Thunder stuck as the backyard illuminates. The young girl shivers as she holds her brother's hand. They both seem to be waiting for someone. The cold is starting to bleed through the clothes and right into her feathers. She should've brought a coat for the both of them, maybe that's what he's doing.Music comes from the inside of the academy. A building so beautiful and white. So pure that you'd have to really squint to catch the specks of red littered like glitter all around it.
"Where's Damon?" The boy asks. A simple question, it should have been a simple answer.
The rain hits the ground like pearls bouncing on the marble floor.
"I…soon. He'll be here soon." She assures. Her eyes never leave the back door.
Suddenly alarms go off and barks ring through the already loud rain. The music inside is a soft hum in the chaos outside. The siblings jump at the sudden outburst and bolt out of there. The cold is the least of their worries and they make a race towards the back gates.
"What about our brothers?" The kid asks. A simple question. It should have BEEN a simple answer.
"They'll catch up to us!" She quickly replies, forcing her strength to push him over to the other side and pushing her fears deep down her heart for the time being. The noise of the barks getting closer as they run farther and farther away from the building. She didn't know where they were going or how long they ran. That wasn't important.
On May 24 2013, siblings Diana and Apollo Swan were declared missing.
This isn't a happy story. That doesn't happen till later.

Author's Note:
Hey guys! Wow I haven't used this app in a WHILE. I'm still learning/adapting to this so bare with my awful writing. However I did want to actually flesh out Diana's story in a way are probably won't be able to! Now I also want to say that this will NOT in any way be related or connected to Ducktales in any way. This is entirely a new and original story that takes place in its own universe.
THAT BEING SAID; reader discretion is advised for...about everything angsty and violent. This story is about trauma and pain and found family healing. I'll elaborate more when we cross that bridge.
Anyway that is enough form me, hopefully I'll post consistently but no promises!
