Prologue

Laura and I have been dating for 2 years and our relationship has been going strong.

Not until the last few days when she started coming home late and she became too cold. I don’t know if I did something wrong to her or she’s just busy with her work. I always wait for her but when she comes home, she just ignores me and heads straight into our room.

“Lau, what’s wrong? What's wrong with us? Why are you acting strange lately? Did I do something wrong? Answer me!” My voice was trembling.

“You really wanna know the truth?” Lau said coldly, I just nodded even though I’m not prepared to hear her girlfriend’s answer.

“Alyssa, I fell out of love. Look at yourself, you don't care about our future. Naka graduate na tayo Alyssa pero wala ka paring trabaho, Ateneo pa.” She said with full of hatred.

“No Lau I have a plan for us but please wait patiently, Hahanap ako ng magandang trabaho Lau. I swear!”

“No Alyssa, we’re done. I gave it all for you but I need to love myself also.”

“ Okay, I’m so sorry. I’ll pack my things so don’t leave, it’s your apartment not mine.” I’ve been slapped by reality, how could I not notice myself to be that burden to her?

“Did you just end up like this?” Lau asked with confusion written on her face.

“Lau I understand, pabigat lang ako sayo tsaka marami kang pangarap ako wala. Sorry hindi ko napansin na nahihirapan kana pala sakin. Ok lang, mag iimpake nako ha. Salamat na lang.” Alyssa smiled.

Laura doesn’t know that Alyssa is hella rich, She just disguised herself to not know her true identity but in reality she’s a future CEO of one of the famous companies here in the Philippines because her dad owns it. Alyssa just wanted to leave peacefully and simply, she planned to tell Lau lately but I think we’re done already.

I headed out of her place and then I bumped into a girl with glasses.

“Hey watch your steps!”  I grumpily said.

“ Hey I’m sorry but you’re the one who needs to watch your steps!”
