It was burning, yet so cold. Two sights came into view, one a see of blue and filled with screams, the other was a cold cave-like dungeon. It felt like Farlen was being torn in half or more, it was a voice that brought Farlen to focus on one view. "Farlen! Wake up! Curse you damned elf! This is all your fault!"
"My fault!? I was not the one who couldn't do his job and kill the cultists!"
"I could have if we got to rest!"
"I-"
"Shut up! Brynn, where are we? It feels like I got drunk on ale and moon sugar at another party. Divines my head." Farlen was in pain and bickering wasn't helping.
"Far as I can tell the afterlife, but not Sovengarde. I might take that and the World Eater over this wretched place." Brynn slowly helped Farlen get up and over to a bucket to sit.
"I expected more from Nords but seems like you both are useless. This is Oblivion and at a guess based on the braziers Molag Bal." Arslin moved around the cell inspecting it some more. "We had our souls trapped so we must have been sent to here. Now we just have to escape and reclaim our bodies back."
"No, I felt myself being torn. I . . . don't think we are whole. If I stop focusing, I hear screams and wails in a sea of blue. Sanguine why am I here? Do Soul Trap spells override Daedric Princes?" Brynn patted him on the back.
"Right now we need to escape. The Daedra seem to be on the defense, if we can get lucky we can escape here."
"Stand back and let me show you the might of House Telvani!" Arslin went up to the cell door and tried to cast a spell. A weak stream of fire shot out and didn't do anything. "Clearly the enchantments that stopped my magic earlier are still in effect. That doesn't matter, I'm sure you two can brute force this."
"I'm still not feeling any stronger than when we first were ambushed. I doubt Farlen has the strength if he can't even stand! Once I get us out of here I will see to your death! For now keep working on gathering your energy!" Brynn was totally scary, no wonder he was good in the Fighter's Guild.
"Or you three could work together and we can all break out of here." We all turned to the door and saw a half giant woman covered with splatters of Daedric Blood. "Lyris Titanborn, I could use some help and it seems you all need help escaping. What do you say friends?"
"I am Arslin of House Telvanni and I am-" Brynn punched him in the gut.
"Any help from the legendary Lyris Titanborn would be greatly appreciated. Excuse our companion, he doesn't understand manners."
"Great hurry along before the Daedra swarm this area!" With that the mighty hero slashed and broke the door's lock off. "Grab anything that can help you fight as we get out of here!"
We all began to run down corridors, Brynn was helping me keep up as he slashed at any Daedra that got close. We then reached a large gap between sections. "Exposed open bridge. I don't like the looks of this. Brynn you'll have to carry Farlen. We can't wait for that pace in the open. Arslin you have any illusion magic?"
"No and it's Arslin of House-" Lydia slapped him across the face, I was surprised both by the slap and Brynn scooping me up. My face became red and hot as I leaned in to Farlen's chest.
"Okay, go!" It was a fast pace run, almost as if we were under the Mundus Steed Stone. I glimpsed a draconic massive creature roaring on top of the rocky side from where we were.
"Brynn, behind us."
"I heard Songbird, I heard." He set me down and raised up the sword he took from one of the dead Daedra. "Dibella please watch over Songbird and send him back to Nirn with protection! I will be your sword in this dark and hateful place 'til I draw breath no more! So mote it be!" As he spoke his oath I saw cheerful colors begin to emanate from him. He charged along the bridge at the creature.
"Come on you idiot! He'll buy us a moment at best against a Titan!" Arslin pulled me up and we began running away to where Lyris was at. A loud deafening roar and the chilling heat of flames blasted behind us. The next thing I knew we were falling, down into a dark abyss.
"Nooo!" Her scream was desperate.
