Jisung & Chenle short story

The airport was a loud place and full of people. Jisung hated this. He walked slowly with his earphones to the gate Chenle sended him. On his way, he thought about how nervous he was. He would see his best friend after 3 years. It was a quite difficult time for Jisung. When Chenle left to study in China and being with his family for a while, he felt happy for his best friend. He knew how much he missed his homecountry and family. But after a week, he felt the emptiness in himself. He didn't' knew what it was and for a few weeks, he constantly thought about what was wrong with him. Two months after Chenle left, they both face timed for the first time again and Jisung never felt so happy to see his best friend again. And after the video call ended he knew, why he felt so down. It was because Chenle was gone. It took a while for him but he went to his friend Jaemin and wanted some advice. Jisung told Jaemin all about the last two months and how about he felt lonely without Chenle and how he really missed him. Especially after the video call. The only thing Jaemin said after Jisung was finished was, that maybe Jisung had feelings for Chenle. Since then, Jisung never could get this thought out of his head it. Was it really true? And most importantly, did Chenle felt the same? At the end and after various calls with Chenle, he finally admited that he was indeed in love with his best friend.

Now, he was waiting at the airport for him. Jisung looked at his watch and saw that Chenle landed already. That meant it can only be a matter of minutes until he would see him again. He waited paitiently until he saw him. Jisung smiled and could feel that his heart started beating faster. Seconds later, Chenle saw him too. He also smiled instantly and began to run towards him. Jisung started walking in his direction and when Chenle was near him, he literally jump in Jisungs arm. It was a cute scene for the people, who walked by. Jisung held Chenle tight, scared that it wasn't real. Until he could feel something wet on his neck. He slowly put Chenle down and saw that he was crying. Jisung hated to see him cry. "Chenle, what is wrong?" he asked him with worry in his voice while he cupped Chenles cheeks with his hands. Chenle just smiled while his tears fall down. "I'm just so happy to be here and to actually see and be with you again." he said. Jisung tried to not freak out after hearing this. "I missed you too."

Jisung drove him and Chenle to Jisung's apartment. They agreed before hand, that Chenle would stay at Jisung's until he would find himself an apartment. The whole drive Chenle told Jisung about his last few days in China and how hard it was to leave. After hearing this Jisung had this one question in his mind. Would Chenle like to live in China again? It scared him to asked. But of course, Chenle saw that something was bugging Jisung. "Ji, are you alright? You have your 'I'm troubling with my thoughts' face." he asked him. Jisung could that he tensed after hearing his question. He closed his eyes for a second before he asked Chenle. "I'm just wondering, if you want to live in China again and leave Korea." he said. For a few seconds Chenle didn't answer and Jisung hated the quit atmosphere for the first time. "Actually i thought about it while i was in China and i came to the answer that i really like my life here in Korea and i couldn't bare to leave you here. So no. I don't wanna move back to China." he said with a smile. Jisung was relieved to hear this. Also he thougth, that he would stick to his plan, he made before Chenle arrived.

After an hour, they finally arrived at Jisung apartment. Jisung helped Chenle with his suitcase. "Are you tired or do you want to eat something?" Jisung asked Chenle while stepping into the elevator. "I'm a bit sleepy but i need food." Chenle answered. After arriving at the right floor, they stepped out of the elevater. Jisung was getting nervous because of his plan. He hoped that he wouldn't ruin everything between Chenle and him. Jisung opened the door and let Chenle walk in first. It was dark inside but after Chenle turned on the lights he gasped. He couldn't believe his eyes. In the living room was a huge banner and that said'Welcome Home Chenle'. There were also ballons everywhere on the floor as well as some confetti. "Jisung, what is this?" he asked nervous. "Wait." Jisung said and walked in his kitchen. When he got back, he held a big bunch of flowers in his hands. And not any flowers. They were Chenles favourite. "These are for you." Jisung said while giving the flowers to Chenle. Chenle accepted them but couldn't say anything. He was overwhelmed with feelings, seeing what Jisung did for him. Jisung stepped a bit back. "Chenle i need to say you something." Jisung began with trying not to stutter so much. Chenle just nodded his head with eyes wide open. "I know you just came back but i can't hold it in anymore. While you were away, i always felt empty and lonely. First i didn't knew what that meant but after a few weeks and talking to Jaemin, i realised something. I missed you so much that it really hurt. I missed your voice, your laugh, you smile, your  sillyness, your clingyness and eveything in between. Everytime we would facetime, i felt so excited to finally talking to you again. And when you smiled, my heart couldn't stop beating fast. I realised that i fell in love with my best friend. Chenle, i'm in love with you. And it's totally okay, if you feel uncomfortable now. I just wanted to say  this." Jisung finished his speech while pouring his feelings out. He looked at Chenle and tried to figure out what he was thinking but all he could see the tears streaming down his face. Chenle was shocked. He would never have guessed that his best friend, since they were in high school, would stand here and confess his love for him. "Jisung... what... are you for real?" Chenle tried to form a sentence. Jisung just nodded his head. When Chenle saw that, he layed the flowers on the nearby table and walked over to Jisung. He stood before him and saw the sincere and adoration in his eyes. Chenle smiled brightly at Jisung. He leaned further until their noses would touch. "I'm in love with you too." Chenle whispered before he kissed Jisungs lips.
