taehyung loved art. he really, really, loved art. his entire life, all he wanted to do was become an artist. even after his parents told him he would go into medicine, he didnt listen. it might be stupid but he felt like such a rebel when he told his parents he would save up for art school and not nursing school.
his parents couldn't stop him, no matter how much they pushed, soon giving up and letting the boy chase his dreams.
taehyung really wanted to go to a top art school, he had a few in mind, but first he had to actually get the money to afford it. his family wasn't anything close to rich, and after declining his parents wishes, he knew he was on this by himself.
he knew lots of people said art school was a waste of time, and he didnt need to go to an arts school to become an artist. but he just really wanted to. no matter how useless it might be. he was almost obsessed with the idea of going to school to do nothing but what he loved.
now being 19, a year out of highschool, he still hadnt saved enough for school. but he was still hopeful, he knew these things took time. he still lived in his parents house. he didnt mind, infact he quite liked it. free rent, free food, and he still got to spend time with his parents before leaving and starting his life. it was a win-win situation.
he worked at a waiter at a local restaurant 6 days a week (4pm-10pm), he got sundays off. he also picked up odd jobs like dog siting or cleaning peoples gardens, as well. he didnt mind what ever it was, he just needed the money.
and the times he wasnt working, he was drawing. his media of choice was graphic pencils and paper, though water color was a close second. he loved to try everything though. and i mean everything, from oil painting to digital art.
on top of this, he loved to share his art online. he had an art instagram account he used just for fun, posting pictures of completed works or ranting about things when they weren't finished yet.
he had about 300 followers. it wasnt much, at all, but he was quite proud of it. he was happy atleast a few number of people enjoyed his work.
on top of posting pictures of his art, the boy also liked to livestream when he was working on something. he never showed his face, just his hands doing the actual work. he didnt want his full identity to be shown through this account, but that didnt stop him from rambling when live streaming.
he would talk and talk and talk. nonstop actually. he would talk about little things in his life. stories from work, what he saw at the park that day, his inspiration for a particular art piece. literally anything.
his live streams averaged about 30-40 viewers at a time, though the boy barely noticed. he didnt care if absolutely no one was watching him, he still enjoyed doing it. it was fun.

"...anyways, long story short, i didnt get the dog. even though i really really wanted to." taehyung finished a rant with a short giggle. finishing his story about wanting to adopt a dog he saw at the pound, but deciding against it, knowing he wouldn't be able to properly care for it.
