"Let's go! Sit, sit, sit, sit." Coach starts ushering kids into the classroom, "We got a lot to cover today. Let's go! Quicker!"

I decided to ditch the boys and get to class before the thoughts of the uncomfortably pleasant conversation with Jackson could be prolonged. So, I'm already in my seat by the time they get here.

Scott goes to his normal seat, and Stiles usually sits in front of me, but today, Scott stops him before he can sit and points to the seat behind him, where Allison would typically reside, "Hey, Stiles. Sit behind me, dude."

Stiles sends me a sympathetic look before he starts to climb into the desk, he gets one foot in the seat when Allison slides into it, sending Stiles back to his original desk with an awkward smile that says, 'ok then.'

"Hey, I haven't seen you all day!" Allison smiles at Scott, which any other day would have him to grinning like a lovesick puppy who just won the lottery, but instead he acts uninterested, just kind of looking back at her half-way turning around.

"Uh, yeah, I've been, uh, super busy..." he nervously responds.

"When are you going to get your phone fixed? I feel like I'm totally disconnected from you."

Awe that's sweet. I really wish the situation was different because they both seem to make each other really happy.

"Uh, soon. Real soon."

"I changed lab partners by the way."

"Oh, to who?"

"To you dummy!"

Aw hell... that's not good

"Me? I mean are you sure?"

"Yeah, are you sure? From someone who's seen his grades, I'm sure he doesn't want to bring your grade down." I anxiously enter the conversation, desperate to help my brother.

"Yeah! This way, I have an excuse to bring you home and study."

"Heh. Yeah. 'study'." I mutter, causing Allison's face to burn bright red with embarrassment.

"You don't mind, do you?" She asks Scott hesitantly.

"I just—" he pauses, looking to me for an excuse, but I'm fresh out of ideas so... he's on his own. "I don't want to bring your grade down."

Of course, he recycled the excuse I just gave... real subtle Scotty.

"Well, I mean, maybe I can bring your grade up."

Huh. I wonder what else she'd bring up.

Ew. Elizabeth stop that's your brother! BLECK! I've been hanging out with the boys too much.

Stiles rolls his eyes, making me silently chuckle.

"Come to my place tonight. Eight-thirty?"

"Tonight?" Scott echoes.

"Eight-thirty."

Before he can come up with another excuse, Coach slams a book down on the desk at the front, and his voice booms throughout the room, "Let's settle down!"

When everyone gets quiet, and gives him their attention, he continues, "Let's start with a quick summary of last night's reading."

A hand quickly shoots up in the back of the classroom.

"Greenburg, put your hand down. Everyone knows you did the reading. How about, uhh..." He looks around the room before his eyes land in our direction, "McCall."

"Which one Coach?" I ask sweetly. I know I did the reading, but I'm willing to bet Scott... didn't.

"The big one."
