You stared at the ceiling as you waited for your partner to arrive. You were going to go to your place to work on the project.

"HELLO Y/N! LET'S GOO," came a cheerful voice from behind you.

"How are you so energetic. I'm literally hanging on to the remains of my soul right now."

"I'm just excited to be working with you, " they say, grinning. You smile back.

"WELL. We should get going. LEAD THE WAY Y/N!"

With a slight laugh you start walking toward the station with them following close behind. You turn.

"We have walked home together before y'know."

"Oh... oh yeah I forgot." You both find a seat and you put on your headphones and open the notes app. You have for two seconds before Hanji swipes it.

"OoOoOoOo~ What's this for? Watcha writing?"

"Nothing. I wanted to draft a letter. For the council elections?" you say.

"Sounds fun," they say smiling.

"Kind of? I mean it's gonna give me a lot of work because I'm running for both head and events manager and maybe editor? I don't know. I'm trying to involve myself in school activities this year. It'll probably teach me responsibility or something," you sigh.

A part of the reason was that weirdo but you didn't want to admit that. The smartest people remain unbothered in the face of adversity and while that kid posed no such adversity, he was annoying.

"Well I guess I should leave you to it then." They say, handing your phone back, taking your headphones instead.

It's... peaceful I guess. You, sitting and typing away on your notes pad and Hanji, standing beside you, slightly leaning against you listening to whatever you were listening to before.

"- And this is my room, where we will be working," you complete your house tour.

"Cool, let's get to it then!" Hanji says, eyes sparkling.

"Yeah, I'll just grab us something to eat..." you make your way to the fridge. Opening it, you check the packet of chocolate which now was empty.

"Of course s/n ate them." You open the ice tray, revealing two bars. You take one and throw the other to Hanji.

"Ok, back to work."

The project work was dull, livened up only by then occasional chatter. One thing was for sure though. Hanji really loved it. So you guess it was fine. After a couple hours, you guys were done for the day.

"So do you wanna hang out for some more time?" you ask, nervously.

"YES!" Hanji exclaims. You release a breath.

"I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WANTED TO KEEP GOING. I MEAN I GENUINELY THOUGHT YOU WERE BORED."

Huh-

"WELL WE SHOULD GET STARTED!"

"I - uh- I meant like not working on the project? Like just hanging out.  General."

"Oh Um. Sure! What do you have in mind?"

...

"Um I don't really have anything in mind. We could walk around aimlessly? I- I don't know."

"Hmm... Seems good to me. Let's go!" They grab your hand and walk to the door as you fumble around for your keys.

You walk to the station, just talking about random things when you hear your name being called out. You turn around to see your friends.

"Hey y/n! Ooo who is this?" Sasha says running up to you.
