Your boyfriend sat in his gaming chair, you in his lap as you dozed off. His soft chuckle, sweet like honey, made you hug yourself closer to his chest. You softly groaned, waking up and rubbing your eyes groggily, his movement slightly startling you awake. He had moved the both of you onto the king sized mattress, his soft and peaceful face lost to your chest, his breaths deep and even.
You moved away, off the bed and to the balcony. Your nightgown flowed behind you, the moonlit sky giving the thin white silk a ghostlike feature. Your hands placed themself on the cold railing of the balcony, inhaling the crisp air. You looked back to your sleeping boyfriend, a sad smile on your lips. With a few graceful lopes, you stood by the bedside, planting a soft kiss on his forehead.
"I'm sorry, it was never supposed to be this way,"
"It was a mistake."
And with that, you exited the apartment, a sad smile engraved on your face forever. He had to let go of you, you being dead for so long. He couldn't hold on forever.
