Dream's foot tapped repeatedly against the marble floor, the noise drowned out by people's voices and his own thoughts. After knowing each other for so long, it was happening: he was actually going to meet George in person. It was so exciting, but also anxiety inducing, so much that Dream almost couldn't handle it. He was so nervous that it was all he could think about the night before–he triple checked to make sure the house was clean and that George's room was prepared–and he barely got any sleep. Sapnap ended up being the one to drive them to the airport that morning, meanwhile Dream was just internally panicking in the passenger seat. When they arrived, Dream's hands shook as he reached for the door handle. Currently, they'd been waiting for almost twenty minutes. Sapnap was sitting on a bench, playing a game on his phone, and Dream was pacing next to said bench, keeping his eyes peeled for the short brunet.
Sapnap looked up from his phone, watching as Dream bit at his fingernails. "Hey!" Dream jumped and retracted his hand quickly, dropping it to his side. The two men locked eyes, and Sapnap patted the spot next to him on the bench. Dream looked around once more before reluctantly taking a seat. "I get that you're nervous, but you need to chill out. It's George, one of your best friends, things will be fine."
"Yeah, but what about..." Dream uses his hand to gesture towards his face.
"Dude, if he judges you for looking attractive, I'll fight him."
"But-"
Sapnap covers his friend's mouth before he can finish. "No. No 'but'. He won't care." Dream furrows his brows, glaring at Sapnap. They both stay silent for a moment, Sapnap staring back, before he yelps and pulls back his hand. "Did you just lick me?!" He only gets a smile in return, a devious little smile. Sapnap wipes his hand on Dream's hoodie, muttering under his breath.
The two watch something on Sapnap's phone while they wait, taking Dream's mind off of things and calming his nerves. His head leans against Sapnap's shoulder as the blond was just realizing how tired he was. He allowed his eyes to shut, and he began to drift off when Sapnap jerked his shoulder upwards. Dream let out a small yelp, quickly sitting up and rubbing at his ear. "Dude, that hurt." He looked at Sapnap–who just chuckled and looked back and then forward. Dream followed his eyes and spotted a mess of brown hair. Dream shrunk into his sweatshirt, throwing the hood over his head. "Oh my god..."
"Don't go turtle on me now! Go get him!"
"But, Sap-"
"What did I say about 'but'? Go!" Sapnap pushed Dream off the bench, forcing him to his feet. Dream began to protest, but the other spoke first, "Don't worry, you big baby, I'm coming with."
George wasn't even paying attention as they approached, too busy on his phone messaging others. The two were only a few feet away when Sapnap pushed Dream forward. The blond gasped and rushed into George, making the brunet stumble back and knock his luggage over onto its side. "What in the world?" Dark brown eyes met gray ones as George looked up, staring at the man before him.
Dream cleared his throat and spoke in a whisper for only George to hear. "Uh, sorry. Sapnap pushed me..."
"Dream?" The blond looked away and nodded his head. Maybe he should have revealed his face sooner to the brunet, maybe then he could've been prepared. Finally looking down at the pair of wide eyes made him realise one thing: he definitely did not prepare for this. He squeezed his eyes tight and was about to speak again–that was until the air was knocked out of his lungs. He gasped as a body knocked against his, small arms wrapping around his torso. He nearly fell over, but he managed to stay on his feet. George buried his face into Dream's chest and hugged him tightly. He froze for a moment–probably from the shock of it all–and slowly returned the hug. The brunet was actually good at hugging, surprisingly. His warm body soothed Dream's nerves and he almost melted at the touch. George pulled away with a huge smile spread across his face, "Oh my gosh! It's, like, actually you!"
Dream smiled back. "Yeah, and you're actually here."
"Don't I get a hug?" Sapnap peeked out from behind Dream and George rushed to give him a hug as well. The blonde almost felt jealous. Sapnap got to experience George's warm embrace before and never told uim about how nice it was, like damn... Sapnap pulled away and ruffled George's hair, "Now, as much as I missed you, I am hungry. Wanna get food?"
George hummed and shrugged, "I guess I could eat."
"Dream?" The blond nodded, humming as he picked up George's fallen luggage. He followed behind the other two as they spoke, hovering the bag over the ground.
As they walked through the parking lot to their car, George looked over his shoulder at Dream. His face was flat, green eyes staring straight ahead, almost as if he was on autopilot, just following behind without a single thought."You good?"
Dream snapped to attention and looked at his friend. But before he could respond, Sapnap cut him off, "He's just nervous about meeting his boyfriend in real life." The man nudged George in the arm as he snorted.
"He's not my boyfriend!" Dream cracked a smile, trying to hold back his laughter as the two kept joking around. The three of them reached the car and Sapnap swiftly opened the trunk and took the bag from Dream.
"I call shotgun!" The passenger door opened and George chuckled as he jumped into the seat. Dream scoffed and reluctantly sat in the back, ruffling the man's hair. Sapnap finally shoved George's bag in the back and got into the driver's seat. He pulled out of the parking space and they all tried to pick one place to eat at.
