Tommy ran.
He ran from things he never thought he would run from. He ran from his friends and his home, leaving his brother figures body behind him, knowing that Wilbur still had one life left after being shot during their escape.
Tommy ran as fast and as far as he could, away from everything he loved and built, away from his home and his safe place. Tommy ran until he lost the people chasing him.
Panting from exertion, Tommy leaned against a tree on the edge of a clearing, finally relaxing. That was until he heard the distinctive and familiar sound of an enderpearl falling close to his location.
He quickly put his fists up in a wildly incorrect stance, and proceeded to do the smartest thing for a fugitive on the run to do. Yell.
"Who's there!" Tommy shouted focusing more on keeping his voice strong than his surroundings.
Bushes on one side of the clearing started to rustle, but after a couple seconds, silence.
Unsure of who or what could be out there, Tommy started looking for a weapon.
Finding the most deadly weapon on hand, (a stick) he charged at the bushes, prepared to kill if it meant he would be safe.
Swinging the stick wildly as he ran, someone walked out of the bush, only to be greeted by a whack on the head.
"OW! Tommy, what the fuck!" A familiar deep accented voice called out.
"Fuck! Wilbur, why would you do that! You scared the shit out of me!"
The usual arguing between the pair eventually reached the familiar point where Tommy began talking about how much of a man he was, whilst Wilbur was contradicting this by reminding the teenager he was in fact a child.
"Fucks sake you two don't know how to stay hidden do you?" An unfamiliar female voice called out.
The two former l'manbergians turned towards the voice to see a cloaked figure standing at the tree line. The figure didn't seem to be hostile as they didn't have a weapon out, Wilbur observed.
That was a mildly incorrect observation by the former president. The figure didn't seem to be on guard, but in reality she was, the only reason she wasn't fully geared up is because these two didn't seem to be much of a threat.
"Who the fuck are you?" The blond asked rudely.
"Wow, they really didn't teach you manners in lameberg did they?" She taunted, her Aberdonian accent tainting her words.
"Ok, for one: it's L'manberg, and two: who are you?" The former president asked.
"Well, I just so happened to see what happened back there and am sorry to say your lives have peaked my interest" She mused. Adjusting her hood to cover more of her face as she stepped closer to the two.
"What does that mean for us? To have peaked your interest?"
"That depends" She said.
"On what?" Tommy asked now curious about this stranger that had commanded his friends respect so quickly.
"On who's most likely to win the coming war"
------------
It had been a little over a week since Tommy and Wilbur had been left dumbfounded at the encounter after the figure had sauntered off.
As the boys had made their way further into the forest, they eventually came across a cave. One which joined into an underground ravine, one Tommy named Pogtopia.
Unbeknownst to the two fugitives they were being watched, and had been being watched for over a week.
But the boy's watcher wouldn't stay hidden for long.
One day, a week or two later a man with long pink hair passed through, seemingly confused looking at a piece of paper.
After a while Tommy appeared out of the undergrowth surrounding Pogtopias entrance. Once the boy caught sight of the pinkette his features lit up with excitement.
"Technoblade! You're here! You actually came!" Tommy yelled.
"Hey Tommy. Where's Wilbur?" Technoblade said monotonously, cutting off the blond who had started rambling.
"Oh, he's inside. Hey! I'll show you!" Tommy said excitedly, before moving towards the taller male and dragging him by the arm into Pogtopias entrance, rambling the entire way down about how cool he was.
Once Tommy's voice faded away, She came out of her hiding place in the tree's. Sighing as she readjusted her outfit.
Little did she know she wasn't the only one with a sharp eye anymore. A God was in town, and perhaps she would finally meet her match.
