I started driving into town, desperately trying to find opened places that have the "Help Wanted" sign on them. To my luck, I haven't come across any so far. I kept driving, now heading downtown. As I continued to look for jobs luckily there was a Café that needed some help.

I parked into the parking lot and headed inside. I was greeted by a nice young lady, looking a little younger than me.

"Hello welcome to The Grand Café, how may I help you?" She smiled with a big bright smile at me.

"I'm actually looking for a job to apply for, and I have come across your 'Help Wanted' sign in the front. Can you please give me an enrollment form?" She grinned at me and motioned me to follow her. We were walking through the store and came across a door that said 'Boss.' She knocked softly until we both heard a faint 'come in'

We walked into the room to see a man who looked in his early 30's, brown eyes, dark skin, and kind of chubby." Hello Lidia, who might this young lady be?" He had a very deep voice, that kind of intimidated me.

"Why this here is.." She looked at me for a name.

"It's Leanne Lancaster." I smiled.

"Right, this here is Leanne and she is looking for a job. She happened to stop by here, due to the 'Help Wanted' sign in the front." Her words were clear and conceptive, as if she said this many times before.

"Okay Ms. Lancaster, here is your enrollment form. You will be behind the cash register. You need to turn this in by Monday or else you have no job." He smiled brightly at me and scrummaged through his pile of papers.

When he finally found it he gave it to me and told me that I can be off. I started heading out the door before I heard my phone start to ring. It seemed to be an unknown number until I picked it up.

"Hello?" I asked with curiosity.

"Hello is this Ms.Lancaster?" They asked. I was quite confused at to how they had known my last name.

"Yes this is she. Excuse me for asking but who am I speaking with?" There was a short silence on the phone before the same female spoke.

"This is NHS Trust Hospital, we are calling you to let you know that your mother's intestines went into her hernia and we had to give her surgery and put them back into the right spot." I was shocked, and confused. If this was the case then wouldn't that mean that she was in pain all of this time?

"I will be right over." I saved my questions for later and ran out of the Coffee shop. I entered my car quickly and sped down the road.
