I was trying to ignore the shouts coming outside of my room. Ang ingay ng mga kaibigan ko sa labas! Darlene's still sleeping but they kept on making a loud noise.

"Nix, dito na kasi kami makikitulog," Harvey said, he kept on saying that.

"Lumayas kayo." I closed my room door.

"Bahala ka! Dito kami matutulog!"

I let out a heavy sigh. Ang kulit nila. Pinapauwi ko na sila pero ayaw nila. Dito raw sila matutulogpara mabantayan si Darlene. Tsk, paano nila mababantayan, e, tulog nga sila? 

And besides, I can take care of Darlene.

Hinayaan ko nalang sila sa gusto nilang gawin. 

I removed my shirt then went inside of the bathroom to take a quick shower. Nilingon ko pa si Darlene na natutulog bago pumasok sa loob. 

Nang matapos lumabas agad ako, only wearing my sweatpant. Pinatuyo ko ang buhok gamit ang towel na nasa leeg ko. Tumungo ako sa kama nang matapoa ginagawa.

I removed the pillow beside Darlene, so I could sit beside her. Niyakap naman niya agad ako kaya napahiga ako sa tabi niya. I tried to remove her hands pero binalik niya lang. 

I smiled. Gusto ko naman ‘to, e.

Hinila ko siya palapit sa 'kin. She leaned her head on my chest. 

Tinaas ko ang blanket niya dahil malamig ang mga braso niya. I kissed her cheeks before closing my eyes.

Nagising akong wala sa tabi ko si Darlene. Nilingon ko ang bathroom nang may marinig na pagsara ng gripo. Bumangon ako at kinusot ang mata.

I heard a shout outside. Gising na sila. Damn it, umagang umaga nagsisigawan.

Tumayo ako. Lumabas ako ng kwarto para pumunta sa kabilang bathroom. Bumalik rin naman ako agad nang magawa ang balak ko.

Dumiretso ako sa balcony. I did a little stretching. Nangalay ang braso ko dahil sa paghiga ni Darlene. I clicked my nape as I felt relieved. I took some cigarettes then leaned on the railings.

 Accidentally, I saw some girls from the other unit. The other girl winked at me. Kumunot ang noo ko. 

She's obviously showing off her skin and chest on me. Inalis ko ang paningin sa kaniya. I don't have any interest. 

"Hey, do you have a girlfriend?" She made her voice sweet. 

Nilingon ko siya. "No..." Her eyes twinkled because of my answer. "... but I have a wife." I went inside of my room after saying that.

Sinilip ko ang bathroom at nandoon pa rin si Darlene. Kinuha ko rin ang phone ko sa gilid dahil panay ang tunog.

I answered the call, it was Attorney Reyes. "Hello?"

"[Nix, I thought mahabang proseso ang mangyayari, hindi pala. I consulted the marriage contract if it was legal and... wait, it was from email. You want me to send it to you?]" I heard a door closing coming from behind. Lumingon ako at nakita ko si Darlene na nakatingin sa akin.

"Can you just send that to Lala? I'm with my wife." Pinapanunahan ko lang, damn.

"[Wife… you mean her? Iyong anak ni Mr. Miranda?]"

"Yeah. Thanks." I ended the call. 

Pinatong ko ang cellphone sa lamesa. I pulled Darlene closer to me, holding her waist while she's not facing me. I kissed her cheeks, naamoy ko agad ang buhok niya. "Good morning, Darlene." I threw my cigarettes.
