Author POV~

The next few minutes were filled with small idle chatter and grazing touches while the couple stayed glued to each other. Neither seemed to intend to disentangle themselves any time soon, but their small bubble of bliss was popped by a bothersome ringtone.

Seokjin's head perked up, looking at his vibrating phone on the table. Namjoon glanced at it too and released a breath of a sigh. He brought his palms flat on the couch to lift himself and let Seokjin take the call. But before he hardly propped himself up, he was pulled back, wide-eyed, down by Seokjin's arm that was still wrapped around his shoulder.

Namjoon lay back down with a small 'oof', his head on lying Seokjin's chest but he looked up at the older, confused. Seokjin on the other hand was in absolutely no mood of disturbing the tranquil atmosphere that had settled in. He certainly wasn't going to let the annoying electronic device and whoever was calling on the other end, ruin it. He expressed his distaste by glaring at the phone, causing Namjoon to let out a small chuckle and bury his face deep into his chest, letting Seokjin's sweet lingering deodorant waft his nose.

He put a hand behind Namjoon's head, keeping him in place, and stretched his free arm for the phone on the table. With a grunt, he was able to slide it into his grip and settle back comfortably.

Seokjin looked at the screen and realized that he was being video-called. By his mother. He let out a silent sigh through his nose looking at the phone in his hand. This wasn't the first time his mother video-called him. Or at least attempted to. He would always dismiss the call and call back with a normal voice call. He often found video calls unreasonably tedious and unnecessary, but now he bit his lip in hesitation looking at the screen. Then with a dubious finger, he slid the icon towards the green side, picking up the call.

He first heard his mom gasp and whisper not so silently.

"Omo! He picked up!!"

The raven head sighed out a chuckle at her tone. He saw the camera move back and reveal her face entirely which seemed to beam through the screen. He gave a small smile as he wished her.

"Did something good happen today, dear?" She asked, clearly fishing for the reason for this change in habit. He shrugged.

"Maybe," He replied coyly, gazing down at Namjoon, who seemed to be lost in his world with his head still planted in the elder's chest. Seokjin wondered how he was breathing despite the position.

Seokjin's mother held an expression of amusement and surprise on her face as she studied her son's face through the screen. His usual sharp features seemed to be toned down by the gentle smile which subconsciously laid on his lips. She noticed the slight peculiar angle of the camera and realized that he was lying down.

"Were you resting, honey? You're not sick, are you? Where's Joonie??" She asked again, her forehead creasing in concern. Seokjin shook his head.

"No, we were just..." He trailed off and shifted the camera down to show the familiar brown mop of hair of her, now half-asleep, son-in-law to answer her last question.

Poor little Namjoon was snapped out of dreamland when a shrill squeal cut through the air and breathless exclamations of 'JAGIYA, LOOK' came from the speakers of the phone. He looked away from the source and tried going back into the comfortable state his mind was in a few seconds ago but Seokjin stroked his hair out of his face before he spoke.
