SHANNON FINSTOCK IS SOMETHING. She doesn't know it — not yet. And neither does Scott, or Stiles, or Allison, or Derek. Following Peter Hale's attack on her and her best friend on the night of the Winter Formal, Shannon thought herself a lucky one. Not rejecting the bite, not turning into a Lycanthrope, just remaining a totally fine, stable human being.
There's nothing to suggest she's anything supernatural. Her senses are perfectly average, she's not healing unnaturally quickly ( in fact, she's always healed rather slowly ), she's not any stronger, or any faster, and the same intense emotions that made Scott lose it and transform on the lacrosse field — the same day Shannon discovered his curse — do nothing to her.
Yet, she's something.
But, with a homicidal lizard monster terrorising the town, Derek desperately turning innocent teenagers into Werewolves to build a pack, Scott and Allison's relationship drama encasing their entire friend group, Isaac Lahey refusing to leave her alone, and the ever-present weight of her mother's untimely death hovering over her like a dark cloud, Shannon realises rather quickly that she has far more to focus on than her newfound identity.
It can take a backseat for now. If Shannon's learnt anything in the past two months living in Beacon Hills, it's that her transformation will bite her in the ass one day.
That day just isn't today.
