Genivere: The Crown

~Chapter 1~

It was the beginning of April in Genivere city, Harley and Rynn were getting back to school after the whole district was shut down for April fools day due to last years pranks. They had just arrived at the building and were walking to their lockers when they ran into someone and fell to the floor.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" Harley said, sounding concerned.

"Omg are you okay!?" Rynn questioned.

"I'm alright, are you two okay?" The girl asked.

"Yeah, I'm okay" Harley and Rynn said in unison.

"Well anyways, I'm Kamb-" The girl says standing up.

"OH MY GOSH KAMBREE ARE YOU OKAY!?!?!?!?" A boy who looked identical to the girl yelped.

"I'm alright Kayden," Kambree answered "Besides, it was my fault, I wasn't looking where I was going and walked into them. Also, next time, don't run over screaming bloody hell, you brought way too much attention to the situation."

"Ok... Sorry for yelling, Kam." Kayden said, sounding gloomier than before.

"It's alright, as long as you don't do it again. Now we all need to get to class, you go ahead so I can talk to the girls I ran into." Kambree scolded, yet in such a kind way.

"Fine!" Kayden huffed.

"I'm sorry about him, he's a bit immature at times." Kambree states turning to face the girls. " I'm sorry that I wasn't looking where I was going, is there any way I can make it up to you?" Kambree says, appoligetically.

"You don't need to do anything to make it up, but anyways, I'm Harley, It's nice to meet you." Harley said with a smile, reaching out to shake Kambree's hand.

"And my name is Rynn!" Rynn stated gleefully and smiled.

"Well It's nice to meet you both, but the bells about to ring, so we should probably head to class." Kambree said, looking down at her watch, "see you two around!" She said waving, as she slowly walked away.

It was now the end of the day and they almost ran into each other again, so they took it as luck and got each other's phone numbers, while they were walking out of the school they decided to hang out at Harley's house. So Kambree told Kayden she was going with the girls, and to go to his girlfriend's house or something.

    "Maria, I'm home!' Harley yelled as the girls walked through the front door.

"Ok! Is Rynn here?" Her adoptive mother yelled in response.

"Wow, thanks for caring about me." Harley said sarcastically as she started walking to the kitchen.

"Yes Mrs. Braun, I'm here too, and we brought a friend!" Rynn said, trying to contain her laughter, failing miserably.

"Ooh, is it a boy? Did my Harley get a boyfriend? Or you , Rynn?" Maria said without looking up from the dishes.

"Nope not a boy, sadly, we're both still single as ever. But this is our new friend Kambree!" Rynn squealed, showing her off like it was kindergarten show and tell.

"Hi ma'am, my name is Kambree, It's nice to meet you!" Kambree says, reaching out her hand to shake Maria's.

"Well you have lovely manners, you should teach Rynn sometime!" Maris says with a chuckle " My name is Maria, don't listen to Rynn when she says to call me Mrs. Braun, Makes me feel old" She laughs, shaking Kambree's hand.

"Well it's lovely to meet you, Maria." Kambree says, still smiling.

"Ok, now that y'all had your chat, let's grab some snacks and go up to my room." Harley says, in a mean, but joking voice.

"Alright,"  Rynn says, shrugging.

"Okay." Kambree follows, giggling.

The girls walked into a beautifully decorated bedroom, there were LED lights strung from all four sides of the ceiling, a plush looking bed hanging from the ceiling, a large flat-screen TV mounted on the wall, with plastic butterflies hung on all four sides, a couch to seat six, and lastly a desk with everything you could possibly want or need on a desk.

"Woah!" Kambree replied, starstruck..

"I mean, it's not that cool," Harley replied, seemingly bored.

"Not that COOL?!" Rynn whisper yells. "This room is better than my entire house sis!"

"LIES!" Harley protests, "You practically live in the white house! You have a movie room, game room, mini golf in the backyard, bowling room, AND escape rooms that are changed monthly!"

"Holy crap Rynn!" Kambree says in awe.

"I mean it's cool and all, but it's not like we get to use it whenever we want, it belongs to my grandma." Rynn says coldly.

"Who is your grandmother girl?" Kambree questions.

"Oh, I guess we forgot to tell you, Principal Rylann is my grandma." Rynn says calmly.

"Your grandma is  our principal???" Kambree says, the shock evident in her voice.

"Yeah, why?" Rynn asks.

"She HATES me." Kambree says, almost sounding scared.

"Oop!" Rynn said.

"Bye Rynn, see you tomorrow!" Harley waved as she drove off. "Maria!' Harley shouts.

"Yes dear?" Maria responds.

"I'm going to bed, I'll see you in the morning!" Harley calls out, sounding tired.

"Ok, goodnight!" Maria returns.
