Genivere: The Crown

~Chapter 3~

It's been two weeks since anything necessarily interesting happened, the girls made a new friend, Brylee, and met Kayden's girlfriend Claire. Nobody but Harley took much interest in Claire, and Rynn practically hated her, but Rynn could tell something was off with her best friend. She knew Harley was pan, and preferred girls, and she also knew that Claire was exactly Harley's type.

All the girls were meeting at Harley's house to discuss the situation tonight, so Rynn figured she would go early to talk to Harley about the Claire situation, since it wasn't abnormal for her to arrive early.

"Hey dad, do you think you could take me to Harley's a bit early tonight?" Rynn asked her father.

"Sure darling," Mr. Hoover answered, "but may I ask why?"

"Thanks! And I need to talk to her privately about something." Rynn said softly.

"Okay," Mr. Hoover replies, "Is ten minutes okay?"

"Yeah, everyone is getting there in about thirty minutes, so that gives me plenty of time!" Rynn said enthusiastically.

Ding dong, ding dong

"Harley honey, Rynn is here!" Maria shouted up the stairs before opening the door and greeting Rynn with a hug.

"Okay, coming!" Harley yelled back as she rushed down the stairs.

Harley met Rynn at the bottom of the stairs and greeted her before turning to head back up.

"Oh! Harley?' Maria said quickly.

"Yes?" Harley questioned, turning to face her adoptive mother.

"Your Aunt Rose is coming to visit this weekend, so make sure to come say hi when she gets her later." Maria exclaimed.

"Okay!" Harley says turning to Rynn as she begins to walk up the stairs, "You realize your like, 20 minutes early, right?"

"Yeah, I need to talk to you privately so I figured I'd come early to do so!" Rynn confessed. When the girls got to Harley's room Rynn strutted over to her favorite bean bag next to Harley's desk, while Harley sat in her desk chair. "So you know how you like girls?" Rynn blurted as she plopped down onto the bean bag.

"I already don't like where this is going." Harley groaned.

"Well, you seem to take a liking to Claire!" Rynn exclaimed.

"What!" Charlie yelped, going red in the face.

"You do!" Rynn squealed.

"It doesn't matter, she has a boyfriend anyways. Plus I don't wanna ruin our friendship with Kambree by going and stealing her brother's girlfriend." Harley muttered.

"Ms. Gorl!" Rynn stated dramatically, "Kambree ships y'all too."

"What!?" Harley hit her hand on the desk, "Do all three of you ship us?"

"Yep!" Rynn says while giggling, "Now don't tell anyone we talked about this! They'll be here soon!"

"Okay fine." Harley huffed.

The girls had a wonderful night gossiping, playing games, and laughing at Harley when she had to call Claire and tell her cheesy pick-up lines for a dare.

It was now two in the morning and they finally decided to calm down and discuss the reason they were here in the first place: The mission.

"Okay ladies, have a seat." Harley said, finally able to get the group under control, and on topic. She started talking as she sat down, "We need a plan if we're gonna be able to defeat the queen."
