'I'm home!', Denki shouted into the eerily quiet house. 'They aren't home..?' A small shadow slunk out behind the cabinet. 'Miku? Oh no. You haven't seen Hiko?' 'No, I think they brought sister to the wobbly drink table place,' murmured the tiny child, trembling under her tiny blanket.
It wasn't that their parents were abusive, it was just that they were terrible alcoholics. They always fed their children alcohol and forgot to pay the bills, so Denki had a job as a janitor during the early hours of 2-5 o'clock. The manager was nice enough to slip him a sandwich every now and then to help his situation, but it was never enough. Denki always went hungry for his two little sisters to eat, knowing that they needed it more than he did.
"Hack..hack..." Denki coughed, spitting out some blood. He had severe asthma, but his parents didn't know. Neither did anyone at school. Apparently, due to his sudden free check-up by Recovery Girl, he had dyslexia, ADHD, and autism. That explained his jumbled up reading, his constant moving as well as difficulty communicating. He brushed it off, knowing that he couldn't afford a full-blown checkup, especially with his parents taking his hard-earned money for more beer or wine.
