Chapter 10: Himari

Mmm~! This ramen is soo good!!" Himari said as she ate the ramen I made for her. "Of course its good. Its Ichiraku Style y'know" I said proudly. "So, why do I have to be your slave?" I asked while putting emphasis on your. "Is that any way to talk to me? I'm one year older than you, just so you know." She said with a pout.

"And I'm stronger than you. Anyway, will you tell me already?" I said with a deadpan. "As you know, the exhibition games are happening and I have to win that." Himari said while putting emphasis on have. "What will happen in that exhibition game?" I asked. "Its a contest between units, but its just a friendly one this time. It was originally a way to settle disputes when we couldn't see eye to eye. From a list of events, the captains will pick one and participate in those." She explained.

"So do we know what event was picked?" I asked her but before she could say anything another voice replied. "We're picking a simple one on one this time using nothing but our abilities." Kyouka said as she came in the kitchen. "You're pissed off at your sister, aren't you? So go kick her butt while you can and call it an exhibition game!!!" Kyouka shouted enthusiastically.

"Thanks for giving me a chance to kick her butt, chief!!!" Himari shouted with equal enthusiasm. "Make sure to kick jer butt!!" Kyouka exclaimed. 'They are really shit at trash talk. They just keep saying kicking butt over and over' I thought to myself as I looked at them.

"Go out patrolling wirh Shiki as a test but dont go to any areas that are out of our reach." Kyouka ordered. "Yes!" Himari said as she pulled me by my hand.

-----A Few Minutes Later-----
-----3rd Person POV-----

Himari and Shiki were in the jeep while going to a area that has shuuki. But what she didn't know was that this was a clone, not the original. The original was somewhere else doing his own important training.

"You still haven't told me what you meant by becoming your slave." C.Shiki said. "Turning my body into weapons isnt my main ability. I just use ot because it suits me well. My main ability is this." Shes aid as she showed him her mobile with something like a card game with Kyouka on it. "My ability is called Learning. By learning others abilities I can use them. That is my power." She said. "That is a really strong power." C.Shiki said with a surprised expression.

Himari's ability is called 'Noble Aspirations, Learning' or just 'Learning' and it allows her to use the others powers by learning them and setting them on her mobile. She can only use one ability at a time and this ability does not work on all powers as it also has affinities with which it works the best. For example, if she learns Nei's ability then she will be able to see a little farther and clearer at most.

They roamed around looking for shuuki while talking about random things.

-----With The Original-----

I was in an open area far from the dorm. I created alot of shadow clones like usual and sent them to train different things. While they were doing that, I took a lotus position with my ands in the front and entered my mindscape.

I was once again in the beautiful scenery with everlasting night and beautiful stars that illuminated the whole area. I wlaked towards the cage and saw Kurumi sleeping. Just as I got close enough she opened one of her eyes to look at me and said sarcastically, "Did you finally remember about me?". There it is, the usual gruffy tone.

"Look, forgive me just this time okay? I've been really busy these past few months and I'm sorry I couldn't talk to you during that time." I said sincerely. "Hmph! And why should I?" She asked angrily. 'Oi, what are you? A tsundere? When I come you tell me to go away and when I don't come you get angry.' Shiki thought to himself. 'But, even so you're one of the most important people in my life and my partner who will be with me the rest of my life.' He thought with a smile.
