☁︎ • ☁︎ today your team had another match. it was against team 'y'. you were kinda tired today, and very much not in the mood to play. but that's not how life wanted to play out clearly. ☁︎ • ☁︎ so here you are stuck having to play. how tiring. ☁︎ • ☁︎ "team 'y' is in the same spot as us. there's no way they'll recover is they lose this game. we'll have to look out for their number 9. with his super strong shooting technique, he became kumamoto prefectures top scorer. hibiki ōkawa." ☁︎ • ☁︎ wow kuon sure knew his stuff. because you had no idea who that guy was before he said anything. not like you'll remember his name... ☁︎ • ☁︎ "but this time, we've got our "I'll be the next 9!" tactic. all we have to do is execute it like we practiced." ☁︎ • ☁︎ "victory or death!! team z!!" ☁︎ • ☁︎ "yeah!" ☁︎ • ☁︎ you only let out a weak yeah...it took way to much energy to let out a strong one. and all the screaming hurt your ears...honestly how can these guys be so loud...and energetic right now... ☁︎ • ☁︎ you could really care less if you had to go home after this, as a matter of fact you wanted to go home. though these guys seemed way to pumped up to let that happen. ☁︎ • ☁︎ maybe you'd just go ahead and take a nap here on the field...joking haha...no your not. you were a bit guilty of sleeping in random places. ☁︎ • ☁︎ actually this one time you had fallen asleep standing up with your tray, and someone ended up having to wake you up...definitely not your best moment. ☁︎ • ☁︎ in this tactic bachira was the formation leader, it was because of his dribbling weapon thingy. so the match started with bachira making his way through the opponent's only to end up blocked by two-no three players. ☁︎ • ☁︎ that one dude came outta no where...impressive. you hadn't even noticed him, then again you didn't really pay attention to anyone from the opposing team. ☁︎ • ☁︎ so bachiras first attempt at breaking through didn't quite work and the ball was with baldy which was then sent back to bachira and yeah. ☁︎ • ☁︎ and then bachiras second attempt came which he ended up running out of time...so kunigami was up next. ☁︎ • ☁︎ "run up the sides!" ☁︎ • ☁︎ so his weapon was his left legs shooting power. and a few people on your team opened a path so he could shoot and...the other team managed to block it...yay how fun. ☁︎ • ☁︎ the ball went towards isagi who tossed it back to bachira supposedly so he could get our rhythm back. and from bachira the ball went back to kunigami, who shoots yet failed due to being blocked again... ☁︎ • ☁︎ and that one guy, you know the guy who comes out of no where? yeah he ended up getting the ball. ah what was his name..? you didn't know...but he seemed interesting. in a way you kind of wanted to try and make a conversation with him but... ☁︎ • ☁︎ you're kinda maybe in the middle of a game right now so...clearly not the best moment. ah but the game...right that guy kuon had warned us about started moving. ☁︎ • ☁︎ "took you long enough, niko!" ☁︎ • ☁︎ "I'll leave it to you ōkawa." ☁︎ • ☁︎ woah...what a win! you figured out his name and you didn't even have to talk to him! perhaps this day wasn't as bad as you had originally thought. ☁︎ • ☁︎ never mind that dude scored...so now the score was 1-0. haha guess which team has 0. I'm sure you already know the answer... ☁︎ • ☁︎ "you were supposed to mark him naruhaya...!! he's ōkawa! you can't just leave ōkawa alone!!" ☁︎ • ☁︎ is he that much of a threat? if anything niko seemed like a bigger threat...I mean the guy can pop out of nowhere! wait a second that sounds familiar...who else can pop out of nowhere... ☁︎ • ☁︎ "we can't stop him with only one guy!! let's double mark ōkawa!" ☁︎ • ☁︎ man by the time this is over your going to remember ōkawas name forever or something...they say it so much it's almost scary... ☁︎ • ☁︎ "calm down, guys! we can still come back from this, it's only one goal! it's been ten minutes so let's all get into my formation!" ☁︎ • ☁︎ now it was kuons turn at this, and his weapon was his jumping power. which honestly scared you the first time because how can a human jump so high? ☁︎ • ☁︎ so when naruhaya passed the ball to kuon he jumped super high and bam! he smacked it with his head and passed to kunigami. who got the ball stolen...guess by who? ☁︎ • ☁︎ that's right niko, who's name you actually remembered. and he then passed to some random guy on his team. ☁︎ • ———— • ☁︎ "FUUUUCK!" ☁︎ • ☁︎ my what lovely words were being shouted in the locker room! and by none other than raichi himself... ☁︎ • ☁︎ "is this a fuckin' joke?! yer supposed to pass me the ball, not drop it!!" ☁︎ • ☁︎ "it's like they said, those guys are just passing it around now! even if we try to charge in, won't they just hand it to ōkawa?!" ☁︎ • ☁︎ "huh?! if we don't barge in, we're gonna lose!! if we lose, we're out!! what's so hard to get?!" ☁︎ • ☁︎ "and if they score one more goal that's it for us! use your damn head!!" ☁︎ • ☁︎ fight! fight! fight! c'mon you wanna see some entertainment here...since well you don't have your phone nor the opportunity to watch the clouds... ☁︎ • ☁︎ "hey now, don't fight. team 'y's got everyone apart from ōkawa defending. I guess since it's 1-0, that's enough for them to win, huh? to break through a team that's completely focused on defense...that's tough for pros to manage, let alone us..." ☁︎ • ☁︎ "ah...even if we keep two players on ōkawa the whole time...we won't win unless we can put out more pressure in the second half..." ☁︎ • ☁︎ "should we really be sticking to this tactic...? if we can't bring out our weapons...we'll only be brought closer and closer to defeat." ☁︎ • ☁︎ "this shit, coming from someone who won't even tell us his weapon?! huh?!" ☁︎ • ☁︎ "I merely want to try to improve our odds of winning. instead of wasting time on weapons we can't really use, like bachiras or kunigamis, we should be relying solely on the weapons we have that can frustrate our opponent's that's all." ☁︎ • ☁︎ "and whose fuckin' weapons are those, huh?!" ☁︎ • ☁︎ "but it's hasn't been my turn yet!! isn't it unfair to switch strategies right now?!" ☁︎ • ☁︎ "I told you not to fight! if we let this get to us, we'll be signing our death warrants! changing tactics right now would be to risky, and realistically there's not much of a chance a switch would work. rather, the way we've been playing is exactly what we should continue, until the other team can't come up with an answer to our weapons! our offensive isn't pointless at all. we must keep attacking without worrying over ōkawas counter! let's stick with our 'I'll be the next 9!' tactic! that's the best hand we have!" ☁︎ • ☁︎ wow kuon sure knows how to give a speech, it almost makes you want to actually play.
