Never felt like home

Chapter1

Meghan POV

I woke up to the voice of my screaming brother, I immediately ran out my room grabbed him from the arms of my alcoholic mother and headed back to my room and locking my door behind me.

I comforted him as I felt the pain he was going through. My mother never layed a hand on me but after my father's death, she started to drink and my four year old brother had to feel the wrath of my mother.

I constantly asked myself..... why a sixteen year old girl like me have to be a mother to my brother because my mother is always wasted.My brother finally calm down and I took him downstairs for breakfast, my mother was no where to be found which was a relief. I got dressed cleaned up my brother and dropped him off at school. I arrived in school and greeted my bestfriend Leela and my day couldn't of gotten worst when I saw Sarah the head cheerleader flirting with my boyfriend. I was so out of it today that I didn't bother to tell her anything I just pretended that I didn't see anything and went to class. School passed by quickly I took notes wrote down my homework and headed to pick up my brother from school.

For the first time in weeks I met my mother home, and suprisingly she said hello and didn't start an argument. I took a quick shower and left home to meet my boyfriend and friends at the Steak House. I arrived kissed Andrew and hugged my friends. It was a long time since we all hanged out together and I was really happy we decided to go out today after what happened this morning at home.

Chapter 2

Andrew POV

Meghan walked in the restaurant looking stunning, but I knew I would hurt her if I told her I didn't have feelings for her anymore, since we have been together for two years.

It was getting late and everyone was leaving when Meghan said "I would like to have some space, we should take a break." I almost choked I mean yes I don't love her anymore but I still cared for her and did not expect that.

Meghan POV

I knew Andrew was itching to tell me something ,but he wouldn't say it until the time was right so I decided to say what was on my mind. I would like some space ,we should take a break he just looked at me in amazement and after a long thirty seconds he said " Take how much time you need." and walked off. I left right after him, got in my car and drove home. As soon as I entered the door I felt a deep sting across my cheek. It was followed by "Where the hell were you?" Anger arose in me, and I started to shout at her because this treatment was long overdue. I packed some clothes in a bag, picked up my sleeping brother and left home leaving a disgraceful mother alone shouting at the top of her lungs.

Sorry guys I knew this chapter was a little short but I have school in the morning. pleasssse vote and comment would like to hear feedback on the story

Chapter 3

"Where is momma,and where are we going?" Danny asked. I took a while to digest what he asked and said "we are just taking a vacation Danny." and he just fell back to sleep. I arrived to Leela's house she said I could stay their for some days since her parents were out of town. She greeted me with a huge hug ,I needed that hug badly, she helped me get the stuff out of the car and I carried Danny to the guest room. It was just a little after nine when my phone started to ring, I saw the caller ID and just pressed ignore. She had the nerve to call me after the way she treated us.

I entered school the next day having the same mood as always stressed. My classes took a little longer than usual and just as class was about to over I was called to the principal's office. Surprise, surprise my mother was there staring me straight in the face with loving eyes, I didn't buy it for a second. "What are you doing here?"was the way in which I approached her,she answered me back by saying "I want you to come home." mind you I have not seen her or spoke to her in three days which felt good to me. She went being the concerned mother, and I could'nt do it anymore so I just walked out of the office without even turning back to answer her. I saw Leela on the way out and told her I'll meet her home. Rushing towards my car Andrew was there waiting on me. "I really can't handle him now." I said under my breath , but I listened to what he said,I owe him that much.

Andrew POV

I saw Meghan coming towards her car looking like if she wasn't even in the mood to talk to me. "I know you are hiding something from me" were my words but she just listened to what I had to say , but it was written all over her face that she couldn't handle me, she had something else on her mind. We said our goodbyes and I watched her pull out of the parking lot.

Meghan POV

Leela is the only person who knows what is going on at my house and I really wanted to tell Andrew what was going on but he felt so distant even when we were together. I picked up Danny from school and headed to Leela's. I started my homework and got dinner for Danny, I began to feel tired so I carried Danny upstairs after eating and fell asleep.

Chapter 4

*flashback*

"You little bitch, you can't do anything right!" were the words that came out of my mother's mouth. "You shouldn"t be here, you were supposed to be aborted." the hurtful words sinked into me as it was the first time my mother ever verbally abused me.

*end of flashback*

I woke up sweating and trying to catch my breath as I remembered everything which happened that day. Since it was Saturday I decided to go back to bed. I woke up after eleven and saw Leela and Danny watching TV, I got dressed and went to mother's house after giving it a lot of thought I think I could give her a next chance. I just hope I catch her when she is sober. I knocked on the door and entered when I heard her say to come in. "Mom" I said and she looked up suprised as ever like she wasn't expecting me to come back. "Umm... are you sober." I moved on to say. She looked at me with pleasing eyes, anyway I would like to talk. She patted the seat next to her for me to come and sit down, I eagerly went and sit next to her and started the comversation.

Do you really want Danny and I to come home? I waited for her answer. "Yes" she responded, and further went on to say "I know I have hurt you all tremendously,but I'm sorry." I cut her off and said you will have to stop drinking alcohol, and we can not come home just as yet I have to see you at least trying. She looked at me with pleading eyes and said "Give me a chance." " I am giving you chance, so take it." I said softly and left.

I carried Danny to the park since he hadn't have fun in a long while plus I needed to clear my mind. I thought to myself will my mother really stop drinking and be the way she was before. My thoughts were interupted when I spotted Andrew, both our eyes met and I didn't get a chance to run for it. I don' t mean to sound snobby but I just wanted some time alone. "Hey" he greeted I responded with a simple Hi. "I didn't expect to see you here." Andrew said."Yeah I'm just came here with Danny for him to have some fun." I replied. At the same time.Danny came running towards me "Meghan can we go for some ice cream?" he aaked. I gave him a smile and said sure. Not until I gave him the okay he realised that someone else was there. "Andrew?" he asked in shock. "Hey man" Andrew replied. Danny hasn't seen Andrew since we broke up he was like a big brother to Danny. Danny ran up to him and hugged him Andrew hugged him back,

Danny looked so happy and it was the first time in a few days since I smiled. "Are you coming to get ice cream with us?" Danny asked Andrew. Andrew looked at me "If its okay with your sister" he said. Now I had two pairs of eyes on me, I finally gave in and said yes.
