As daylight went down, the city of Seoul began to light up purple on the occasion of the BTS concert. The countless bridges that connected the neighborhoods to each other were completely covered with light bulbs and reflected the purple color on the water. Even Lotte World Tower, Seoul's tallest skyscraper, was festively decorated. On its facades flowed images that portrayed the faces of the seven most famous boys of the moment. Already from the early hours of the morning, thousands of fans of the group were stationed outside the Olympic Stadium. All of them hoped to be able to witness the performance of their beloved idols from the front row. Although it was just the beginning of spring, the sun was shining high in the sky and the heat made the air almost suffocating. The staff in charge of making the preparations handed out bottles of water and food to the fans to give them some refreshment. The kiosks used for the sale of merchandising items had been stormed and by now it was practically sold out. In the crowd there were plenty of billboards and banners prepared by the ARMYs who hoped the boys would notice them. The most popular slogans: "Yoongi marry me", "Once you Jim-IN, you can't Jim-OUT", "WWH Jin we love you", "BTS SAVED ME", "Daddy Namjoon", "Jhoooope is my hope ". Some fans, however, more courageously, exhibited different posters, but all related to a particular couple, the Taekooks. The taekookers knew very well that this date was special for the couple: April 5th. Just a few years earlier, on that day, the two boys had coined that term to indicate their friendship, without imagining that it would immediately turn into a powerful ship. Fans went crazy for the two of them as a couple, they were convinced of the deep love that bound the two boys and believed that, sooner or later, they would officially break the news of their engagement.
So that's what Jungkook was really thinking about. Although he hadn't been able to talk publicly about his relationship with Taehyung, it had been going on for years, almost forever. When the two boys met, it took them a short time to understand that they were soul mates. Their story had therefore been going on for ten years. Jungkook and Taehyung had grown up together and learned to be patient with each other. It is true that they had many passions in common, including dancing, singing, video games, love for dogs and they shared the same values. Jungkook, however, seeing his being introverted, couldn't quite communicate his love for Taehyung. Sure, his hyung knew how strong the feeling that bound them was, but sometimes, without letting his partner notice, he wanted more explicit declarations of love. Surely after ten years of relationship the two boys did not doubt their feelings. Jungkook just wanted to be able to be more direct, to surprise Taehyung by showing how much he really cared about him. This is why he had decided, challenging himself, that that evening, during the concert, he would ask his partner to marry him. He had discussed it with the other members of the group and with the agency, unbeknownst to his partner, and they had all been thrilled. The Korean mentality was changing, although it was not yet so open, but all of them believed that a similar gesture made by such an influential person, worldwide, would be an incentive for the normalization of relationships of all kinds. Jungkook loved another guy and no longer wanted to be afraid of living his relationship out in the open. Sure the band would receive criticism from the most retrograde part of the country, but Jungkook didn't care: ARMY would always love them because they wanted to. only their happiness. The kids had already expressed their support for the LGBTQA + community in the past, both in the lyrics of their songs, during their major speeches, and at the concerts themselves. Jungkook still had an image of his Taehyung in his mind wearing streamers of every color and parading proudly down the stage. After the concert the two had made love, while Taehyung was still wearing those colored threads.
There were still a couple of hours left for the show to start and, honestly, Jungkook was anxious. The costume designers were preparing his first look of the night, while the makeup artist finished the boy's makeup. These ran frantically between Instagram posts. He had entered the hashtag "Taekook" and, among the fanarts and videos depicting the couple, he had also found photos taken right at that moment by fans who would have attended the concert. One bill in particular struck him: "Taekook is REAL. Love is love. JK + TH forever ". The lettering topped a realistic depiction of Jungkook and Taehyung on the wedding day. A black suit for Jungkook, a white one for his hyung. Both had purple details, such as buttons and flowers in the pocket of their jackets. Their hands were intertwined and a pair of rings sparkled on the ring fingers of the two. Taehyung's joyful expression melted his heart, pearly tears were about to run down his face. Jungkook wondered if when he really asked his hyung to marry him tonight, he would make him as happy as thier fans expected. Too busy zooming in on the photo to look at every detail, Jungkook accidentally liked the post. As soon as he noticed it he took it off, but it was too late now. Hundreds of new posts appeared before Jungkook's eyes, everyone was talking about what had happened, some crazy with joy, some confused. His feed filled with "Taekook is real", "They are married", "JUNGKOOK IS ONE OF US", "BEST COUPLE EVER", "Plese adopt me". Jungkook started to break out in a cold sweat when he read: "Wait a minute, what if Jungkook is going to propose to Tae this evening?!".
