{Aspen's POV}
Walking along the green path, I reminisce about how it all started. I never expected any of this, and life pretty much flipped me upside down, ran me over with a bus, put the bus in reverse and went over again, then drive again, then reverse; I think you get the picture.
The walk is soothing on this hectic day. The clear sky and warm temperature with a breeze makes the temperature perfect. The birds chirping and bushes rustling fill my ears and I take the time to enjoy it while I can.
The gravel crunches under my bare feet and I look down to where my crisp white dress is now getting muddy.
Fay and Edith are going to kill me.
So is Ambrose.
And Balor.
Well, I think it's safe to say my fiance will be a widower before he's a husband.
"Aspen Sapling Karieo soont-to-be Dolores."
I spin around in shock and anger. I glare at Jasper who is clearly out of breath. He must have ran to catch up to me.
His simple, but I'm sure priceless suit is now more wrinkled than it was when I saw him back at the venue. He has a dark grey suit jacket with a sage green button up underneath, sticking to the theme colors.
"Don't you dare ever call me that again." I snap at him, "You promised to never ever bring up my middle name!"
"Watch the tone little sister. Just because it's your wedding day doesn't mean you can't get an ass whopping."
"Let's see what Ambrose says about that." I threaten.
"Aspen, look at your dress." Jasper gestures to where the bottom has gotten full of mud. I look down sheepishly. "What are you doing out here? Are you running from your wedding? Sh*t this day is more interesting than I thought."
"No Jas-"
"Was is Dolores? Are you finally leaving him? Does he need an ass whopping?" Jasper walks closer to me and bends down, picking up the dirtied material of my dress. He chuckles darkly. "Yeah, you're definitely getting an ass whopping."
I take the material of my dress from his hand and he stands up straight, looking at me for an explanation.
"I was being suffocated. I needed a few minutes to myself." I explain.
"Then go to a room in the venue, you know there's like 20 empty rooms in that place? You got your dress all dirty. Arlo didn't sign up to marry the dirt queen."
I scoff at him.
"I needed air. Look Jasper what's done is done. Arlo's getting what he's getting, and I really don't think he'll mind."
"Oh he probably won't, but your older brother who spend a fortune on this dress will. I'll be praying for you." Jasper grins.
"Whatever, let's just go back." I tell him, lifting my dress as I walk, trying not to get it more dirty than it already is.
Jasper and I walk a few minutes in Silence. I try relaxing a little longer and calm my rapid heart beat. I didn't expect myself to get nervous for this, but everything became overwhelming so fast.
"Have the guests started arriving?" I ask softly.
"A few showed up when I came to find you. There's still about 45 minutes until the ceremony starts though." Jasper comments, looking down at his million dollar watch.
I nod silently.
"Does Arlo think I left?" I ask.
"He thinks your getting ready where you're supposed to be." Jasper says in a harsher tone. I roll my eyes at him.
