"Are you going to be able to handle me when I get sicker?"

"I don't know but I would rather spend the rest of your life with you and be heartbroken when you are gone than be heartbroken now."

"I was hoping you would say that."

Before he could speak I push him back on the bed and kiss him.

"Is this okay? Are your doctors going to be mad?"

"No, now kiss me!"

A few months went by me and Alex finished everything on the bucket list. Let me say the skinny dipping was fun, especially after.

It's my time now.

"Don't go baby."

"I love you, Alex. Never forget that."

"I love you too, Ella." He said between tears. My parents left the room so we could have a moment to talk.

"I need you to promise me something, Alex."

"What is it?"

"You will not stop yourself from finding love. Marry someone. Have kids."

"You know I can't do that."

"Well then promise that you will look after my parents."

"I promise."

"I love you."

"I love you more."

Everything went dark. I hear beeping and doctors yelling, most of all crying. Crying from my mom, dad, and the love of my life.

It sounds like such a cliche but I was ok and I could see the light getting closer. I will look over you Alex.

Third person POV -

7 years later.

Gabriella kept her promise and so did Alex. Alex graduated college and never looked at another woman again. He did however look after Gabriella's mother and father. He would visit her grave site everyday after work.

Her parents on the other hand distended themselves and cried everyday. It eventually got easier but not by much.

Alex was now a doctor and specialized in cancer. He never let her go. He has adopted 3 kids in fact. One named Elisabith who is 3, Nathen who is 7, and the oldest Bell who is 10. He thought that with everything Gabriella was she was kind and this was his way of giving back. His way of having love in his life.

Years later Alex would discover a cure for lung cancer and this he could only imagine would make Gabriella Happy.

The end.
