You had stood outside the classroom to which belonged too a rather stern man kids call Mr. B. You began to become nervous as you held your hand over the door knob. Was volunteering to be a teacher assistant the best option for you? I mean, sure kids liked you but, will these kids like you? Will the teacher like you? You honestly don't know..maybe you should just say you're sick and you have to go home. Yea- you'll do that! You begun to walk away from the big brown door, but than you stopped in your tracks, caught of guard by someone shouting to you. "Hey! You're my assistant right? Don't be shy! Come in now.." Mr. B had poked his head out the door and noticed you. Suddenly you're not sick anymore. He had grabbed your hand pulling you into the classroom. His hands were surprisingly soft, and he let go as soon as you and him were in the class room. "Alright kids, eyes on me!" Mr. B had said as he snapped his fingers trying to get everyone's attention. "Kids-! Helllllooo?" He seemed to start getting frustrated at his loud group of kids. You had to step in. "KIDS! Your teacher has kindly asked for your attention! Please pay attention and wait for him to get through what his must get through!" You had said. All the kids had stopped messing around and fixed their posture as they all twisted around in their seats to be looking directly at Mr.B. Not a single peep left any of the kids mouth. Mr. B, who is a bit shocked as to why they all listened to you, a complete stranger, rather than him, but he wasn't gonna complain about a quiet classroom. "W-well than..uhm-.." He cleared his throat and looked up at all of they tiny faces who were now glaring at him. "This is Y/N Y/L/N, and they're my new assistant. They will remain in the classroom with me and help around the classroom." Mr. B had tried to be professional, but he was still embarrassed about how disrespectful his students were. "Today you'll just be doing missing work for your different classes. Feel free to ask questions if needed." Mr. B had said as he walked over the the desk near him. He sat on the desk and leaned towards your face. "Sorry about my kids..they tend to be chatty." Mr. B had said as he looked at you for forgiveness. "Its okay! Its not your fault..they're just 5th graders. Of course they'll be little chatter boxes!" You had giggled. Mr. B had led you to another area of the room. On the wall infront of you there was hooks which were holding landards. Mr.B had grabbed one and explained that he had the one in his hand was just for you, just so kids were aware that you were a assistant, and not an actual teacher. The landyard had a card that had the words "Mr.B's assistant" on the front. You were a bit confused on why it had to specify who you worked with, but you weren't going to start heat over a card. Right as you were about to grab the landyard from Mr.B, he had put it over your head and around your neck for you. "O-oh-" You said, caught if guard. "Thank you!" You had exclaimed in a happier, less confused tone. "Of course." Mr. B had said with a smile, than he walked too a student who had their hand raised. Hours flew by quickly after that. Luckily, the kids did end up liking....no- adoring you. The kids didn't seem to be the only one who adored your presence, however.
