Chapter 3 - Peso

The penguin was sitting awkwardly on his beanbag when Zoe announced it was time for his questioning. 

"It's time for Peso!" She exclaimed, accompanied by Ai who had turned up in the break. 

"Yay," Peso replied, not sounding all that enthusiastic. 

Shellington slowly approached the Folder of Doom, and took out the question sheet. 

"From Yellowishh_, here, question for peso!! What was the hardest medical procedure that you've ever had to perform in the history of your entire existence??? I'm curious! Also, do you know PT (physical therapy)? My mom just finished college and is now a PTA (physical therapist assistant)!"

Peso looked relived at the innocent question. "The hardest procedure I've done is probably a crab-ectomy," He started. "It was very complicated, and the fact that the hermit crab was very cranky didn't help." 

"The hermit crabs. Love that episode," Lucas said. 

"I once tried to make an analysis of it on Tumblr but it deleted itself and I was too mad to start again," Zoe added. 

"Ok..." Peso mused, staring suspiciously at Lucas after the 'episode' statement. Zoe grinned. "Sorry, continue" 

"I did try PT once, but I wasn't very good at it. My flippers aren't exactly great for the job." He said. "And congratulations to your mum!"

Kwazii snatched the paper out of Shellington's hands, deciding that he deserved to read after his questioning. 

"From RainbelisaAwesome," He began. 

"Ava," Zoe corrected. 

Kwazii rolled his eyes. "From Ava, Hi peso! I am probably now ice skating for 6 hours but I will ask you the questions first 1. What's your fav animal? 2. Y r u so cute??!!! 3. What do u think of the rest of the crew??? 4. Yay!! I have a skating buddy! 5. How tall r u compared to captain B? 6. How long were u in da octonauts?? 7. Hi!! 8. Bye!!"

"6 hours... Peso muttered. "That's a long time," 

"Ava seems to be very interested in ice skating," Kwazii said. 

Zoe looked envious. "I've always wanted to learn to ice skate," She fantasised. 

"My favourite animal is probably a seal," Peso continued. "They're so cute!" 

Dashi nodded in conformation. "They are," 

Peso leaned over Kwazii's shoulder to reread the question. "I'm cute?" He asked no one in particular. 

"Adorable," Zoe verified. 

Peso shrugged. "If I'm cute, that is purely coincidental." He finished, smiling. 

"What do I think of the rest of the crew... individually, or as a whole?" He asked. Zoe shrugged.  

"I won't do them individually, because that would be long and boring," The penguin said. "But as a crew, they're all basically my siblings, the Captain is my dad, and Inkling in my grandpa. The Vegimals are like my many younger cousins." He answered. 

"I think I took too long researching 'complicated medial procedures' and 'what is a complicated thing a medic would have to do underwater' while writing and answering Ava's question," Zoe realised, her mind going a little slower than the rest of the room. 

"Great answer, Peso!" Lucas praised, taking over while Zoe's mind caught up. 

"I'm proud to be called your skating buddy, Ava," Peso smiled.
