Skylar's Pov
I looked around as I sat in my last class off the day. I giggled as I saw Cameron growling at a fly that kept pestering him. He snapped his head back to look at me and that's all it took for me to look away and start whistling. When the bell rang I jumped up and rushed out of class happy to be going home. I walked to my locker, people bumping into me and pushing me every once in awhile. I grabbed my bag and put my hoodie in it as I grabbed my skateboard. I walked out of the school but was stopped by somebody calling out my name "SKYLAR!" I sighed and stopped. I turned around to see the mysterious weird new wolf boy. I facepalmed and looked up "Yes? How is it you know my name?" He jogged towards me "Your uh friend said it this morning and I overheard..." I nodded "What is it you need?" He grasped my hand and all of a sudden sparks shot throughout my whole body. I yanked my hand away "No...." He looked at me confused "What?" I looked him in the eye "I said no! I don't want a stupid mate especially not a dumb mutt like you!" I took off running towards my house I didn't have time to get on my board with him behind me and besides hello im a vampire. I arrived at my house in a short 5 minutes. I sat on the porch and looked down "I didn't mean to yell or call him a mutt but it's for his own good, he deserves a better mate than me...." I sighed. "Skylar....you know that's not true...anyone would be lucky to have you as their mate.." I looked up "Hey Tor...." She sat beside me "Sky, what's wrong?" I looked back down tears brimming in my eyes "I have a wolf soul mate....and I called him a mutt and said I didn't want him..." Then I started full on sobbing. Victoria pulled me into her arms and started comforting me "Hey shh shh shh Skylar..." She held me by my shoulders and made me look at her "Your special..just because he's not of our kind doesn't mean he will love you any less. I know it may seem now that you don't want him trust me i know that's how I was about Dustin at first but you'll want no..need, crave him later. You should apologize to him, get to know him better before judging him." I nodded "Thanks Victoria you always know what to say." She giggled "Your welcome..." She kissed my forehead and walked back inside. I got up and decided to go to the park which was the next block over. I walked over to the park and saw....Luke? Sitting on the swings his head down. I walked over and sat by him "Hey...." He looked up "I thought I was a stupid mutt...Skylar if you want to reject me just do it..." I looked down "I'm sorry Luke...I was just scared okay? Your not stupid or a mutt I just.....didn't know what was happening since it happened so fast.." He nodded "I'm sorry too." I giggled "Let's start over?" He nodded "Hi I'm Lucas Rivers, but call me Luke.." I giggled "And i'm Skylar Williams, but call me Sky..." He chuckled and got up hugging me. I breathed in his scent and smiled. He laughed "Are you smelling me?" I giggled "Yeah you smell good.." He smiled "I have to be home but I'll see you tomorrow okay?" I nodded and pecked his cheek "Bye Luke." He kissed my forehead "Bye Sky." I laughed and ran home. I walked in the house to see all the lights off and snoring coming from my parents room upstairs. I giggled and turned the kitchen light on to see a bag from Hollister on the table. I picked it up and opened it seeing....light blue silk pajamas. I really DIDN'T wanna wear these I wanted to wear my black pajama pants and my 5sos shirt Avery gave me but I guess these would do, I mean they ARE comfortable. I walked upstairs and shut my door changing into the blue silk pajamas, blue is my third favorite color behind red, and silver. I lay down and dozed off.
Luke's Pov
I sighed happily as I got home to be greeted by my mum "Hey honey how was your first day?" I smiled "Good, actually..I met my mate..." Her eyes lit up "What's she like?" I smiled "She has beautiful blonde hair and piercing blue eyes...she's also a vampire.." She looked up "Really? That's amazing.." I looked up "Your not mad?" She raised an eyebrow and chuckled "Mad? Why would I be mad I'll love your mate wolf, human, vampire, or mermaid, honey she's YOUR mate not mine so if you love her so will your father and I.." I smiled "Goodnight mum.." She laughed and hugged me "Goodnight Luke.." I walked upstairs and took off my pants leaving me in my boxers and plain black tee. I sighed and fell asleep dreaming of Skylar.
