10 - YuktiKna (Offscreen Shot Pt. 2)

The next day at work, Yukti was sitting with the rest of the team rehearsing her script. Ankit had a small solo scene for which he was reading his script with his earphones on. The cameraman called out to Ankit to remove his shirt and come on camera (for the scene yaarrr) but he didn't hear. So Yukti tapped him on the shoulder and he looked at her raising his eyebrows, while taking out one earphone.

AG: Kya hua

YK: Shirt utaaro

AG: Hmm? 😏

YK: Abe scene ke liye utaarna hai! Biwi nahi hoon aapki joh aisi harkat karne ke liye bolungi

AG: Ragini Singh toh haina meri biwi (sidehugging her tightly)

YK: Toh mere pyaare Mishterji (pulling his cheeks) agla shot aapka hai, jaiye

AG: Wapas aane tak javaab chahiye mujhe (shouting behind him as he left for his shot)

Yukti was confused for a moment, not knowing what he wanted the answer to. Then she realised he was talking about the day before. Well, yeah she had a crush on him since they were paired for Agnifera, and acted like a lovesick puppy last night, but she didn't know if she wanted this relationship. She didn't want to say yes, because if they broke up afterwards, it would pain to see the face she once longed to see. She was also too scared to say no, in case Ankit would distance himself from her and they could no longer be friends.

Throughout the day, YuktiKna were alternating rehearsing and performing scenes as well as doing some together. Between this hassle, they never got the time to talk and Yukti never ended up giving an answer. They finally had a break sometime in the evening before they started the night shoot. Ankit had packed up by that time, as his scenes for the day were done, but stopped by Yukti's makeup room for an answer.

Yukti was getting ready for the night shoot, when she heard a knock on the door and said "aajaao". Ankit entered and barely got a glimpse of the room, when he closed his eyes and turned around.

YK: Kya hua?

AG: Tumne kapde kyun nahi pehne?

Yukti looked at him in confusion and back at herself, and realised she had taken off the jacket she usually wears until her makeup was done (karishma civil look mein tanktop pe jacket pehenti hai woh). She smiled mischeviously and shook her head at the stylists present in the room.

YK (to AG): Mera kamra, meri marzi

AG: A-Aise kaise tumhari marzi, main toh bye kehne aaya tha...par ab-

YK: Haan toh boliye naa, kisne roka hai

AG: Aise nahi...(awkwardly)...

He tried to move towards her with his hand still on his eyes when he bumped into someone standing. He put his hand on the person's shoulder and could tell it was not a woman.

AG: Ek minute yeh- yeh toh Zoheb (someone on set) hai (surprised)

He took his hand off and opened his eyes to see Yukti fully dressed, while she burst out laughing at his reaction. He glared at her in the scariest possible way while she tried to control her laughter. Zoheb and the other stylist left the room as they were called for something, while Yukti put her jacket back on and sat on the dressing table. Ankit put his bag down and stood in front of her with his arms crossed to his chest.
