Chapter 5

5 years later

Bella's pov

It's been 5 years now since I became the alpha of both Derek and Scott's packs and I am now 20 years old and since then the have listened to my orders and haven't disobeyed one of them and we have fought over 5 wolves, 3 vampires and also 3 foxes from what my pack calls them and we have lost 3 members of our pack because of the people we have had to fight we have lost Peter, Erica and Boyd and we have been so sad and angry since we lost them.

Right now I am running in my shifter form through the woods which I am enjoying so much but sometimes I wish I was able to hear Jacob or the packs thoughts like I could back home because then I would be able to tell what is going on back home.

So I have been running for 2 hours now when suddenly I hear a child like scream coming from the middle of the woods so I howled to let my pack know and I took off running towards the screaming hoping to get there before anything happened to the child or children.

When I got to the screaming I saw a little little about 8 years old protecting her little brother who looked about 5 years old from being hurt by the vampire and I knew I had to save them so I growled and as I did the vampire and looked at me and said well well a wolf big deal and so then I growled and jumped at him.

As I jumped I started ripping him apart and biting him all over and finally when he was ripped apart I phased back remembering to keep my clothes on and I bent down to the little ones and I crawled over to them both showing I was no threat and I saw that the sister was hugging her brother really tight.

So I said it's alright I'm not going to hurt you what's you names and the boy said I'm Elena and she is my brother Jeremy and I said well it's nice to meet you both I'm Bella now can I take a look at you both to see if you are ok and Elena said yes and I said ok then and so then I looked over the kids body and I saw they were unharmed.

Then I said where are your parents and Elena said they died 5 months ago and I said ok I'm going to look after you ok I'm not going to leave you and Jeremy said promise and I said I promise little man and then I heard my pack coming and so I gasped because I knew I couldn't let the kids be found so I said ok kids I need you both to do me a favor and Elena said what.

So then I said I'm going to phase and I need you both to grab on tight and both the kids said ok Bella and so then I back away and I phased into my wolf and I bent down and Elena helped Jeremy on and then she got on the they both held on and the I thought to my pack don't follow us you won't see me again Derek you are now the alpha and then I felt my power strip away from me and go to Derek and then I took off running towards the only place I knew someone to keep the kids safe Mystic Falls.
