[3rd POV]
More than 400 people have joined to try to become the most sought out occupation. Hunters. Hunters are considered the most powerful people. They are renowned. They find things that have never been found, they get to on expeditions and find amazing things. The only thing is that many people think that they are up to it. Not many are. You not only have to be strong but you have to be wise smart and tactical. You must be able to flexible to get through tough situations.
[Night POV]
Man I can't wait to be able to be a examiner. Gramps finally allowed me. I get to choose what exam people get to go through. When I first became a Hunter it wasn't that hard about 50 people passed. I thought that it would be less. Or it could have been a exceptional year for people. Anyway I am arriving at the first phase I want to see who I could possibly be taking. Oh 99 looks promising. So does 44. Didn't he almost kill a examiner? Well it will be fun breaking his spirit. And it looks like 301 is hiding his true face. I don't care but, it seems like something is going to be happening. Last three are coming in. Ooh a Kurta, thought they were dead? Ging's kid as well. And a 16 year old who looks like he is 30. Anyway the time limit is up I'll go talk to Satotz.
"Satotz the last people came through can we start now?" I asked.
"Yes now will we will be able to start, how many people are there?" Satotz asked me.
I look around quickly and say 405. Satotz looks confused because he saw the badge number 406.
"One was killed by 44 that's why." I state startling Satotz.
"Ah 44 we have to remind him that there will be no killing examiners." Satotz reminds himself.
"I don't think Togari is going to let him slide. After all he killed him." I say.
Satotz looks at me confused.
"Togari is still alive." Says looking at me with worry in his eyes.
"Oh, well he won't be at Trick Tower." I state simply.
'How does this kid know about Trick Tower I was barely informed about it 5 minutes ago.' Satotz thinks.
"Anyway we better start before they become rowdy." I say.
"Y-yes you are right." Says Satotz.
I look over all the applicants and find one of the kids I saw come in last. 405, he definitely shares some resemblance with Ging. Satotz is currently telling everyone the number of applicants and the first examination. Then he starts running. All the Hunter applicants looked startled to see the first phase of the exam had already started. I start to go behind Satotz and catch up to him to tell him I am going to the second phase of the exam and I will meet him there. But first I put some cameras on the people I was interested in. Then I met up with Buhara and Menchi. I liked Menchi more because she shared her snacks with me sometimes. I then sit on the ground and take a nap.
[Kurapika POV]
There was a kid without a badge looking at us intently. He seemed surprised that he saw me and then intrigued by Gon. Then he went back to looking at other people. Then this fat guy who introduced himself as Tonpa came up. He shared us some juice and asked if we were new. Gon and I said yes. Gon opened his can of juice and then spit it out.
"It seems like the juice went bad." Gon said.
I instantly pour out my can trusting Gon. Leorio does the same.
"O-oh well I didn't notice." Tonpa says scratching his neck.
"Is it your first time doing the exam as well Tonpa?" Gon asks.
"I have taken it 34 times." Tonpa says somewhat proudly.
"So you must know a lot about these guys huh!" Gon says excitedly.
"Yes I do in fact." Tonpa says.
"Do you know that kid?" I say pointing at the kid who is talking to a very tall man.
"Who? Oh him we-." Tonpa stops in the middle of his sentence.
"That can't be him..." Tonpa trails off.
"Who is it?" I ask.
"That kid is a Hunter so if he is here then that means he is a examiner. He almost killed everyone in the Hunter exam he took. His nickname is The Emotionless Demon : Night Blackenwood." Tonka says with fear in voice.
"Emotionless Demon?" Leorio said in disbelief.
"Yes, he may look like your friend here but he is one of the most dangerous Hunters out there." Tonpa says.
We leave Tonpa and start looking around the room. We see this guy who looks like a clown and has a star and tear beneath his eye. We look up and see the examiner start the exam. Everyone seems dazed at first then they begin running.
[Night POV]
I am now done hanging out with Buhara and Menchi. I am now going to the airship. I am quite exhausted. I felt a strong presence and turned around knowing who it was.
"Gramps!" I say excitedly.
"How many times do I have to say to call me Netero, but it is good to see you again Night". Gramps says with a smile on his face.
"Gramps when is my exam going to take place?" I say excitedly.
"It will be for a while, it is the second to the last one." Gramps says with kindness in his voice.
"Aw man, anyway I found two kids that are my age. I really want to hang out with them. Also I think that one is Ging's son. Oneis probably a Zoldyck because I couldn't feel his presence. Anyway I am going to go to sleep." I say as I start yawning.
I walk to a corner of the airship and hold up a keycard to a door to my room. It is nothing special just a bed and a blanket. I could have had some more things but I wanted it simple. Then again I think Gramps was a little relieved about me picking something simplistic.
-About 3 days later-
I wake up screaming and slowly remember where I was. I can't ever remember my dreams when I wake up. I just remember the emotions. I think I am going to go to the gym to work off this energy. I come to the gym finding the two kids there. Number 405 and 99. Trying to get a ball from Gramps. I run really quickly and grab it and put it close to my stomach and get into a position of a ball. I get up and dust myself off and smile at Gramps. He looks surprised, I then look at number 405 and 99. They both look confused and 99 looks surprised.
"Hi, I'm Night." I say with a grin.
Number 405 seems to snap out of his daze and brings his hand out to mine.
"H-hi I am Gon." He says.
"This here is Killua." Gon says pointing at Killua.
"Killua huh... Ah so I was right. Zoldyck right?" I say out loud.
Killua looks surprised and starts to glare at me.
"Any-" I stop. Feeling a major pain in my head. Collapsing I slowly fall and blink. I am still standing.
"Gramps.... fall...." I barely make it out before the pain comes.
