I carefully made my way down the stairs to the basement. I didn't want to make any unnecessary noise that would wake her if she was still asleep. As I reached the bottom, I walked to the corner on the far left of the room where a washing machine stood. With quite a bit of effort I moved the heavy machine to the side revealing a small trap door that was painted the same colour as the floor. If you didn't look carefully you wouldn't even notice it.
I smiled at my own intelligence and resourcefulness. Lifting the door up gently, I climbed down a small ladder that lead to a room so small you could barely call it a room. At the end of this room, there was another door that lead to yet another room. Her room.
I tip toed towards the door and placed my ear against it. My heart was hammering in my chest. I was so nervous my palms were sweating. There was no sound coming from inside. "She must still be asleep," I thought.
I took out a key from my pocket and unlocked the door as silently as I could manage. I wanted to seem as harmless as possible despite the circumstances. This would be the first time she would see me even though I had been watching her for the past 3 months. I felt like I knew her already, now it was time for her to get to know me, the real me not some facebook profile or tumblr character. There would be no distractions for us to get to know each other, that was why I brought her here. "She would eventually understand why I did this and she'd love me for it," I smiled to myself.
As I walked in I saw her silhouette on the mattress at the other end of the room. She was still asleep. I walked towards her careful not to make a sound. As I reached her I crouched down on the floor so that I was at the same level as her. My breath hitched as I watched her sleeping so peacefully on the bed that I had prepared for her. Her face was a pale shade of white and her long dark hair fell all over her shoulders like rogue waves in a stormy ocean. She looked like a masterpiece, the type you framed up in a museum for being so mind bogglingly beautiful.
I couldn't help but touch her. My hand stroked her cheek gently, pulling back a lock of hair to reveal more of her face. She stirred a little which caused me to stop. I didn't want her to wake up and think of me as some sort of pervert or sexual predator. I needed to make a good first impression. Passion would come later although I couldn't help but fantasize about us making love but I had to be patient and wait, I knew that.
I stood up and walked away begrudgingly. I didn't want to leave her but I knew she would wake up soon. I could barely contain myself with excitement. It was time for me to prepare dinner for our very first date!
