CHAPTER 1
GAIL WAKE UP so early in the morning. Alas singko palang ng umaga ay gising na siya. She felt like something great gonna happen today.
What could it be?
Inisip niya ang lahat ng mga bagay na dahilan ng pakiramdam niya. Does her parents buy her a new gift? Does her brothers will come home today?
Gail sighed and get up from the bed. Pumunta siya sa banyo saka nag-toothbrush. Pagkatapos nun, naligo siya. When she finished up, she went down. Nasa hagdanan siya habang nagsusuklay sa mahaba niyang buhok ng may magsalita sa likuran niya.
"Princess, look at your footsteps. Baka dahil diyan sa kakasuklay mo habang pababa ka ng hagdan, maaksidente ka." Anang ng ama niya sa kanya.
Gail stopped on combing her hair and smile sweetly to her father. "My apology, daddy. Good morning by the way!"
Her father went near to her and kissed her forehead. "Good morning din, Princess. By the way, you wake up early."
Gail smile again. "Your right, Daddy. I don't know why I wake up like this so early in the morning. I just felt like something's great gonna happen today. I just wonder what is it though?"
His father chuckled softly. "Don't think about it too much, Princess." Inakbayan siya nito. "How about let's eat cookies first, early in the morning?"
"Oh? Cookies with milk will be nice." Aniya
"Nah... Cookies with coffee will much better."
Gail pouted. "I don't like coffee. I'll prefer milk."
"Okay, okay." Sagot ng ama niya. "Cookies with milk is it."
"Yes!"
Together with her dad, they went into the kitchen. Ipinagpatuloy niya ang pagsusuklay habang gumagawa ng cookies ang daddy niya.
"Daddy, kailan uuwi sina Kuya dito?" She asked. " I miss them so much."
"Don't worry, Princess. They come home today."
"Today?!" Gail asked again. "Really, Dad?"
Tumango ang ama niya. "Yes, today. And kasama rin nila si Ian."
Pumalakpak siya. "Oh? That's nice!" Kaya naman pala feeling niya may magandang mangyayari ngayon dahil uuwi ngayon ang mga kuya niya saka ang kaibigan niya. "I can't wait to see them!"
Minutes later, the cookies are done. Masiglang silang kumakain ng biglang pumasok sa kusina ang ina niya.
"Morning, everybody." Anito
"Morning, mom."
"Morning, hon."
"Mom..." Tawag niya sa ina. "Let's eat cookies together. Gawa 'to ni Dad."
"Sure." Nakangiting sagot ng ina niya sa kanya.
Gail smile back and heartily eat the cookies her father made. Masaya silang nag-uusap nang biglang may sumigaw.
"We're homeeeeeeeeeeee!"
Nanlaki ang mga niya saka umalis sa pagkakaupo sa upuan. Tumakbo siya papunta sa sala kung saan nanggagaling ang tinig na iyon. Of course, she knew who is that!
When she got there, a wide smile crept on her lips.
"Kuya!!!"
Agad siyang lumapit sa kanila saka niyakap sila. "Kuya! I miss you so much!"
"We miss you too, Princess." Sabay na sabi nila.
Kumalas siya sa yakap saka tiningnan isa-isa ang mga kapatid niya.
