Y/N POV
I was saying my goodbyes until we meet at Final Tankery match to the men and women I had served alongside with throughout the five long years of Hell, suffering, loss, and death, we were finally getting to go back home and back into civilian life. When we called the Senshado Federation, they happily agreed to give us free seating to the Final match as a way of thanking us for our service, which made us all happy. And as my military family boarded the transport plane leaving towards Japan where the match would take place, we waved goodbye and said we couldn't wait to meet back up at the tournament. after the plane took off, I smiled at my superior who was standing behind me.
Superior: So now that the plane's taken off and you've said you're goodbyes until we meet up again at the tournament, are you ready to head back home?
Y/N: Yeah...*smiles sadly* I am but I wish Wade was here with us...
Superior: Yeah...He was a good soldier and he really did care about you. But if there's anything I know is true, Wade IS here with us. He might not be here physically, but there's no doubt that he's watching over you even after he passed...
Y/N: Yeah...I can believe that. Let's head towards my home now.
Superior: Right.
We then walked over to the Helipad and got into the helicopter that was waiting there for us and as we flew away from the barracks, I don't know why but I felt a small amount of sadness as it slowly faded away. As the Flight to the closest military to Kumamoto, my Superior and I talked about a few things that happened in our lives through the events of the war. And eventually, we got to the event that took my left arm...and the life of the man I had come to call and see as my older brother...
SEVEN MONTHS AGO
I was rushing towards the objective with Wade. We had recently discovered that the enemy had a newly developed weapon that was pointed towards America's capital, Washington D.C. and as a result, the military was freaking out about it with good reason as we had no information on it but we had pretty damn good reasons to assume it was some sort of Weapon of Mass Destruction. Since we were considered the best of the best, our team was immediately dispatched with a vaguely worded objective but those were clearer than tap water.
Destroy IT no matter what the cost is
Wade: Nishizumi! Hostiles above!
Y/N: *Switches his AR to single fire* Taking Aim!
As I took aim, the soldiers behind us laid down supporting fire, taking out any hostiles that tried to target. Once I was ready to take the shot, I didn't hesitate and dropped the the sniper before he got a shot out. As we closed the distance between us and the objective, Wade, I, and the rest of our time were greeted with heavier resistance. We did our best to take them out quickly but we had to retreat back to where we had more reliable cover. When we finally pushed them back again, we got closer and closer to the weapon. When we saw it, we saw them frantically messing with it but we all knew what they were trying to do.
Wade: NISHIZUMI! YOU'RE WITH ME! EVERYONE ELSE COVER US! THEY'RE ARMING THAT FUCKING THING!
Y/N: RIGHT! *Smirks at Wade* I'LL FOLLOW RIGHT BESIDE YOU BROTHER!
Wade smirked back at me and we immediately rushed through the bullet storm of both hostile and friendly bullets alike. I felt a bullet scrape against my leg and I winced from the sudden pain but didn't stop running. When we got to the weapon, Wade and I shot the guys who were trying to arm it. Wade then immediately got to work on trying to defuse it as I watched his back and took out anybody who tried to stop us.
Wade: Come on, Come on...
Y/N: Everything Good Brother?!
Wade: *slams his hands* GODDAMMIT! They intentionally fucked up its defusing system after arming it! It's permanently locked until we get someone with high enough clearance can unlock it! We can't do anything to stop it!
