Chapter 6 [N]

I walk around the HQ after discussing with Commander Erwin and fellow captains, Hanji, Miche and Levi. The four of us were assigned to join forces and check the east and west sides of the wall to check on the bases on each side. Hanji Squad and Miche Squad were assigned on east and Levi Squad and my squad are assigned on the west, and my current visions could only spot the usual small or tall titans nearby the bases or just wandering near the area, typical things that I normally see, nothing out of the ordinary

"Noelle!"

"Hm? Oh Isabel, hey"

"Heard you're going to on an inspection expedition soon?"

"Yeah, before sundown. And I heard you and Furlan have a day off? Lucky you haha"

"I know, hehe but after that, we're assigned to check on the underground to help some MP's because they can't do shit on their own"

"The underground...man I haven't seen that place in ages..."

"Don't worry I'm pretty sure it's still the same dump its always been with crooks and shit"

"Ahaha...well I'd best go prepare, otherwise Levi will give be an earful"

"Yeah, seeya! And goodluck!"

And with a bright smile, Isabel runs off

"Alright, time to get ready..."

We're by the gate doing some last minute preparation or just talking around, as for me Im feeding my horse, Karna. He's a fast one, and hes also a good boy so he needs to eat before a long expedition, I look around the crew and I see that my squad seems to be getting along just fine with the new girl, although Cheri isn't participating in their conversation much

"Hey hey Noelle"

"Hm? Oh hey Hanji"

"Aren't you excited for this base check up expedition!? Just imagine all those titans we'd find!"

"Hanji, we're on different squads"

"Oh right you're assigned with the grumpy shorty"

"Ooh Hanji if he heard you, he'd be so pissed"

"Hanji, formation" Miche calls out

"Ah right!"

We all get on our horses and the gates begin to open, I look my squad behind me and Rosa gives me a nod and I nod back to her. Finally, the gates fully open and the expedition begins

"Goodluck, Noelle!!!!!!" Hanji shouts and waves before heading east and I wave back to her, I wrap one hand to my horse's leash and pat his mane with my other hand, I've always ridden this way, so I can calm my horse while he runs...

-Hanji's POV-

"Haaaaaah!!!"

I yell as I cut the nape of the titan

"Hah... Man this place is surrounded... There's no way the east base would still be functioning at this point!"

A titan falls dead behind me, Miche standing on its back as it dies

"We won't be able to check on the bases! Hanji! You and your squad look for the base! My team and I will catch up once we're done here!"

"Got it! Lets go!"

I get on my horse and so does my squad, we dodge every titan that tries to grab us and Miche and his squad do their best to kill them

We got back from checking to find that Miche and the others still not fine with the titans to tell them to retreat

"The bases are gone! And the place was also filled with titans!"
