Black Night

Chapter 1 - One week ago

Things in the busy town where normal, as normal as the could be for true cross town that is. The people went about their daily lives, nothing could have spoiled this perfect human bliss, the way they seemed so unaware.

However one human's daily life was far from peaceful.

"Thank you please come again" the cheerful voice spoke as the young red haired girl bowed to her customer, who rudely left taking their order. The girl sighed as the clear doors closed before her.

She was a simple worker at Mephy burger, she wore the simple sugared lavender uniform like the rest of them, her red hair pulled back into a high pony tail and the pink cap she wore stopped stay hairs from falling in fount of her bright green eyes. Working here for this employ was sometimes hell. Rude customers, sick customers constantly asking for her number or starring at her. It was all getting to her but she was stuck like this. She left middle school and never went to high school, just starting work here a year ago. It payed her bills but she wanted more from her life, she didn't want to be stuck working in the dump forever.

"Yuki!" She looked round at the call of her last name, knowing it must be her manager.

"Yes Mr Maou" the dark haired manager of Mephy burger smiled at his employ. He winked his dark red eye at her, making her sigh knowing he wanted something.

"I need you to run a delivery for me" she gaped at him like he was mad.

"What the hell we don't even deliver and why do I have to do it!" He sighed and put his hands on his hips.

"Coz your my best employ and we normally don't but this is a special case." She huffed and then sighed once more.

"Fine"

"I knew you was the best Kukiko" she grabbed his shirt collar and glared. "Sorry, sorry I meant Yuki, God your so touchy about people calling you your first name"

"Just tell me the order and the address so I can do my job and your paying me double" he sighed and smiled weakly.

"Yeah sure, you do work harder than most of my other staff"

"that's your fault for allowing lazy bums work here"

"Hey I heard that!" Both Yuki and Maou rolled their eyes hearing the 'lazy bum' Hanzo shout from the break room. "What do I do to deserve your abuse!"

"Maybe try getting out here and working and we might be nicer" Maou just wrote down the information, Yuki storming into the break room shouting at Hanzo. Maou maned the desk knowing his employs no matter how much they all fight are like a family.

Yuki groaned as she knocked on the large pink door of the place she knew as Faust manor. If she had known it was the supreme boss she was delivering too she wouldn't have agreed. This couldn't get much worse, not only did she have to walk across town in this crappy uniform but she had to speak to the owner as well, as if she wasn't bummed enough.

She jumped as the door opened and at once out on the Mephy Burger smile. "Hello, I have bought your order, two brownies and large sodas" she still couldn't believe she had to deliver these. Mephisto, who for once wore just a simple pink anime t-shirt and white pants, smiled at Yuki.

"Thank you, I must have caused you such bother. Id have come myself but as you can guess being the owner of the whole town does have a few down sides."

"It was no trouble at all, I'm happy to have helped" Mephisto saw through her mask but didn't bring it up, use to seeing Maou doing the same when he delivered.

"Well say hello to Maou for me, it's a shame I rather enjoy seeing him" she felt she needed to cover for Maou, just so she can kick his ass later for making her do this.

"Yeah sorry, Mr Maou is currently really busy training another employee. I offered to go when your order came through to help him out."

"That was nice of you, I must give you a pay rise miss?"

"Yuki, Miss Yuki. I'm just the desk clerk as they say" Mephisto nodded and she waved as she turned, not wanting to snap from smiling to much. "It was nice meeting you Sir Faust, enjoy your order"

"Oh I will thank you Miss Yuki"

Little did she know, Mephisto fully aware, that Amaimon was watching from the roof. His eyes lazily watched the young fast food worker. The lolly stick going from side to side as the candy moved between his fangs. He'd been stalking this girl for a while now, not that he knew why. Strangely drawn in by her, a simple human female.

"Yuki, a fitting name for my obsession."
