POV: You run into Harry at a record shop, a year after you two had broken up
I strolled into my favorite record shop in New York City, I admired the way it had that old, 80's style feel to it. They always had new and old records in and I loved it. I walked around looking through the records, touching each one. Before I knew it I was over at the 'H' section. I can't say I was purposefully looking for his record, but I found it. He was everywhere. I stared and held it in my hand for a while.
"That's a wonderful record" I heard a british monotone voice say. Harry.
"Harry?" I said looking up
"I hear some of the songs are about you" He said laughing
"Oh yeah which ones?" I said laughing, laughing as if i didnt know.
"I'm not at liberty to say" he laughed
"I didn't know you were back in town" I said
"I always write better when I'm here" a smile flashing onto his face
"Is that so?"
"Yeah it is"
I could feel myself falling under his spell again. I didn't realize how much I missed him until I saw him standing in front of me again. His green eyes drawing me in. Harry was my best friend, the man who had my heart for ages.
"You still have the necklace" I asked
"of course, you gave it to me right after I put out 'Fine Line', I could never get rid of it." He said
Tears came to my eyes. The necklace was a little record that said "I'm Yours, Y/N" our song.
I was at a loss for words.
"It was good to see you again, H" I said
"You too" he said, wrapping his arms around me. I took a deep breathe, he smelled the same. I took comfort in that.
"Call me sometime. I don't want to lose touch again, please" he said leaving our hug.
"Ok, I will" and with that I left. Wondering if the universe was telling us it was our time, that we were ready for the love we had for each other now.
