The Letter

It was a new day, Leni's schedule was very full, things have been hard for her for the past month, someone leak a video of her and Bongbong kissing which caused chaos throughout the country, people calling them names while others were defending them

For the safety of her and her children she decided to break-up with him, it hurt her to see him cry, everything they have had was all gone, she tried to avoid him but she couldn't

He would always find a way to get to her, she did everything that was against her will just to push him away but nothing worked so she decided to do the ultimate thing that for sure will break his heart

She tried dating again, it hurt her so much to just push him away, he gave all his efforts and she was just pushing him over and over again

No matter who she dated it was always the same, she could never love them the same way she loved him, they don't have the same Joy and excitement that he gave her

Then one day, he saw them he saw her with another man, he tried to force himself that this isn't true but it was the reality

He didn't eat, he didn't wanna talk to any of his family members, he pushed everyone out of his life including his children, they were all worried about him, they didnt knew what to do

They tried to reach out to Leni but she wouldn't answer there calls, she blocked them from her life

It hurts so much for her, she would cry every night, she would cry herself to sleep, the world was so unfair for her, she would always suffer, she hated herself for making him feel this way, she would always look at the window and remember his words

They were on a night picnic in a beach at his home town Ilocos norte, it was there 1st year anniversary of being together

She looked at the quiet surroundings and saw him, quietly looking at the sky

Ok kalang? She asked

Yeah, sorry about that, I still can't believe na 1 year na tayo

Bakit? Hindi kaba masaya?

I'm not just happy, Im very happy! Happy to the point na pwede nako sumabog if possible

Ito naman! Pano nako pag sumabog ka?

Well you can always put me back together...plus you always find away in tough times, I know kaya moko ibalik

Ito talaga!

She giggled and rested her head on his shoulder

I wish this could last forever

Then? What are we waiting for, pakasalan na kita!

Ito naman! Ang bilis naman ata? Hintay pa tayo ng mga ilang buwan or taon then pwede na tayo mag pakasal,

Well like I always say, hihintayin kita no matter what happens, pero ang tanong hihintayin Morin bako? He asked

Syempre naman! Kasi mahal kita

I like the sound of that, mahal rin kita

He looked at her and gave her a gentle kiss on the lips

Happy anniversary he stated

Leni was at her office she couldn't remove the thought in her head about what she said the other day, sobrang sakit para sakanya

She was walking when someone grabbed her hand and turned her around

Leni naman pls mag usap naman tayo!

It was him, it was him.. then her voice turned cold

Wala na tayong dapat pag usapan, tapos na tayo diba? And sinabi ko sayo layuan monako, i dont ever wanna see you again

I can see in your eyes na hindi yan totoo, i can see you forcing yourself to say those words kahit hindi mo gusto

Totoo ang mga sinasabi ko! Ayoko na sayo! Layuan monako dahil tapos na tayo! She yelled Intindihin monalang kasi ako! Napapagod nako for God's sake! Leave my life ALONE!

that was her last statement before running off stopping herself from crying, leaving him all alone

Leni tried to distract herself before she could continue with her work, her assistant came and handed her a letter

Kanino to galing? She asked

Anonymous ma'am, wala pong nakalagay, sige po mauna muna ako

She nodded then the secretary left

She took a deep breath and opened the letter, it had a very long message so she began read

Dear Leni,
This is gonna be my last letter given to you, I don't wanna be a burden to you anymore, alam kong masakit pero i have to let you go, but before I go I just wanted to say this, I love you, mahal na mahal kita, kahit hindi Mona ako mahal, marami tayong memories na alam kong tanda mo pa , you opened my eyes to love again,and hinding hindi kita makakalimutan, push me all you want but alam kong mahal Morin ako hindi molang kayang sabihin dahil natatakot ka, kung mali man ako pasensya na, i keep forcing myself to be so stupid, i became a mockery ever since I was born and now napatunayan ko na tama sila, i will never forget you, and gagawin ko ang bagay na alam kong ikatutuwa mo Leaving your life, Sana naging masaya ka ngayong wala nako, i hope you are now at peace when the time finally comes, mahal kita Leni i love you and goodbye

She looked at the letter and tears fell down from her face, it hurt so much for her, then a key fell from the note

She picked it up and instantly knew it was the key to his house, she still had time she thought

She ran off crying, she didn't care if other people saw her, she went to her car and drove off,

It didn't take long for her to reach his house, it was empty from the outside, she approched the door and noticed a note that was hanged

She opened the door, she saw the whole place in a mess and a body hanging from the ceiling lifeless with the note on the clothing

She fell to her knees She began crying more and more she was shaking he was also covered in blood, she manage to stood up and hugged his legs while he was still hanged

Mahal...I'm sorry she murmured and cried her heart out
