In my arms

It was nearly 4pm on a Friday, Leni was at her room putting on light make up, today was the COMELEC Debate for the running presidential candidates of country, it has been a very stressful campaigning month, not only is she struggling to maitain her political league, she's also against one of the strongest candidate to ever run or to her she's also against the love of her life

She looked at herself in the mirror, she looked so exhausted and she never even got any sleep,though she didn't care, before she could leave the mirror someone came in her room

Hi Mahal! Are you ready? The person asked

She turned around and saw her fiancé Bongbong Marcos all dressed up in a  proper attire for the debate

Hi Mahal, yes I just finished, ililipat kolang yung iba kong gamit sa maliit na bag, hindi naman kailangan yung iba eh

He smiled, he looked at her beautiful face but he noticed something, something feels off, he went to her and examine her face, then he kissed her forehead

She looked at him confusedly

What was that for? She asked while smiling

Wala lang, i just noticed you look a little pale, kumain kanaba?

Oo na, kanina she stated even though it wasn't true, she was busy the whole day that she forgot to eat her breakfast lunch and dinner, he looked at her raising his brow

I don't believe you, sige ano kinain mo? He asked

Oh god he knows me too well, she thought to herself, she got silent, she couldn't think of any food that could have slip, so she confessed

Ok you got me, wala pako ng kinakain sa buong araw

Leni naman! He stated in a disappointment I've said this a thousand times, don't ever skip your meals, baka kung ano pang mangyari sayo!

Don't worry mahal, i can handle myself you don't have to worry about anything she said and continued to pack her things

He just looked at her with worried expression, he had a bad feeling about this but he ignored it, for her

After she was done, they left her house, he drove her to the venue, she was the first one to come out then he left and waited a few minutes before coming back as himself

No one knew that they were both engaged, only there families knew, some senatorial friends knew about there situation but promised to keep it a secret, it was only a few months left before there wedding they have been together for 2 years, but knowing they are in politics they have to play safe

Bongbong returned to the venue, he was greeted by cameras and assisted by guards, then he went to a room where all the 9 presidential candidates were waiting for him

He smiled and greeted everyone of them, when he reached Leni he whispered to her

Goodluck mahal, i love you

She smiled and nodded, good thing no one noticed this, they waited for 30 minutes before the event could start, they all entered the stage and the debate begun, as expected most of the candidates were cornering him with questions about his past, and about the sins of his father, but he didn't care he was used to it

It was in the middle of the debate, discussing how they will be able to run the country if they ever win as the president, Bongbong glanced at Leni at the side, the camera was focused on de Guzman so this was good, he noticed her paler than before they left her house, she was blinking her eyes non stop, he had a bad feeling so he rushed to her then she collapsed on his arm

Everyone immediately turned to them, and they all went to where the situation was

Leni? Anong nararamdaman mo? tell men He asked while trying to slowly shake her

She just groaned in response,

Can you stand up? He asked, she manage to give a low answer I ..C ant..

She was breathing heavily, he touched her forehead and noticed her temperature was too high than usual, he turned around and saw the medics were about to come, as soon as they arrived he spoke in a cold tone

Mga walang kwenta, Then he took her in his arms and carried her out the stage by himself, everyone saw what happened and began whispering to themselves

Bongbong was walking to his car, she was unresponsive, so he decided to take her to the hospital, when they arrived she was immediately brought to ER, he waited for an hour before he could see her

A nurse approached her and asked kaano ano nyo po sya?

He straight up said to her

I'm her Fiancé Kumusta na sya? Is she awake? Anong nangyari? Can I see now? He asked frantically

Um, Yes po,you may see her now, and you don't have to worry sir, May lagnat lang po sya and hindi napo kinaya ng katawan nya kaya po sya nahimatay

He had a sigh of relief, Thank god she was fine he thought

Thanks miss, mauuna nako he commented and left the nurse, he went to where she was confined and saw her looking at the ceiling

Mahal! I'm so glad you're ok! How are you feeling? Do you need anything?  Sabihin molang kaya ko ibigay ang lahat!

She giggled ito naman! Kung maka over react!

Um Excuse me? Why would I not over react? my soon to be wife just collapsed on stage, Live on camera! What do you want me to do? Laugh? While I see you suffer?

Well, it's better than to see you panic

Ikaw talaga! Ikaw na nga yung nahimatay, ikaw pa May panahon mag joke!

I learned that from you! Pag May problema itawa molang she stated and giggled

He laughed along Now lesson learned Don't take advice from me, because I stink at giving advice

They were laughing when Leni suddenly realized, it was live

She looked at him and asked

Do you think they know? She asked concernedly

He smiled, if they do know then wala na tayong magagawa kundi umamin, and I assure you everything will be ok

I just hope so mahal

Ako na ang bahala sa lahat, now rest ka muna mahal, ill just talk to the doctors for a moment, i love you he commented and kissed her forehead

I love you too, she smiled before he left
