My sister is only 9 and I had left her in my apartment with the sitter more than 3 hours ago I know realize that was a mistake.

"Hurry! I dont know whats wrong with her!" she yelled. I found myself unable to move the world was spinning I didn't think any thing was real intell my Sheryl temple fell to floor.
I started to run.

She was passed out in the back seat with her little blue blanket rapped around her tiny sick body. "What happened to her!" I yelled has I flung open the trucks door and had my baby sister wrapped up in my arms.
"I dont know, I herd your apartment door slam shut and foot steps running away like they had the police on their trail."

"God damn it! She's barley breathing!"

She had jumped in to the drivers seat and started driving do the hospital. "I herd a couple muffled cries come from inside. " she continued "I tried to open the door but it wouldn't budge, I yelled to her and asked what was wrong and I got a loud cry that said 'Cody' come from the other side or the door. "

I still had her wrapped in my arms not going to let go any time soon.

"I then yelled 'Sweety please open the door, are you alright, please answer me!' but I herd nothing in return so I lifted up your ceramic turtle and pulled out a key. I swung open the door to a little girl laying next to a broken lamp. "
I could hear the tears threatening to break free from her eyes but she continued. " I ran to her and grabbed the sides of her face and she looked up at me and said that her brother Cody worked at the Glacier. So I picked her up and came here. "

She finished as a tear flew down her face I could feel them running down mine as well.
The rest of the ride was silent. I kept twirling her short dark brown hair as she laid across my lap motionless. "She has been sick ever since my mom became an alcoholic after my dad died 3 years ago. My mom would leave bruises on her checks and arms. Every day I would get home from school to see my little baby sister curled up on the floor in a ball of frail limbs."

"I would sweep her up in my arms and hold her tight for hours intell she would stop crying. It broke my hart to a million pieces to have to put up with that every day of our miserable lives. So the day of my graduation I packed our things and I large wad of money I had been saving for this moment for 3 years. I swooped Mia up with one arm and walked out the door before my mother could even bother to wake up from her never ending hang over to see us go."

I had no idea that I was speaking until all was said and done.
