Chapter 2 - Preparations for a Surprise Attack

Monday morning

Ten years after the execution of Enterprise.

It's been ten years since the order to have Enterprise executed was commenced. None of the ship girls that didn't participate in the execution knew what really happened to Eagle Union's strongest carrier. They are all on a "No Need to Know" status. Any inquiry only resulted in lies. A gag order was immediately issues to those who participated in the execution. Including Enterprise's sisters Yorktown and Hornet. However Hornet who was also part of the team that executed Enterprise. Disobeyed the order and locked herself in her room. Since that day she didn't interact with the other ship girls including her sister Yorktown.

Another ship girl, the repair ship Vestal who was on the team that removed all the blue wisdom cubes from Enterprise's body. Didn't participate in the operation. She is currently locked in the brig for disobeying a direct order. She doesn't want to have any part of what the alliance did to her friend Enterprise. Yorktown is beginning to lose hope of regaining the trust and respect that Hornet had once for her. Even Vestal doesn't trust anyone in the alliance. Everyday it's been like that. Plus there is a written order to never talk about Enterprise. A written gag order to be exact made by the alliance.

Her name has become taboo all throughout Azur Lane headquarters. Although there's no punishment if they talk about her. The ship girls and the Earth Global Alliance have maintained silence about her death. Especially with nosy members of the media who are in total disbelief. Enterprise was always seen as the bastion of freedom. They never saw her as an evil ship girl. Speculations begin circulating all across the world. Not only on mainstream media. But in other media platforms as well.

Many speculate that General Matthew Churchill is behind the false accusation that Enterprise posseses a power that she might use against humanity in the future. The press have concocted stories that it was a personal grudge on the part of Gen. Churchill. It was rumored that he wants Enterprise's death as a way of executing the late British Prime Minister Churchill's disgust over the United States for deciding to go ahead with the invasion of Normandy. He wanted the Americans to continue and maintain the invasion of Italy. But the late Pres. Theodore Roosevelt has had enough. So he decides to order the Normandy invasion to push through. Even though Churchill reluctantly agreed to it.

Meanwhile at the abyss. Enterprise or now known as Queen Oni is scheming one of her biggest demonstration power. And that is to attack China and Russia at the same time. As well as China's four man made island bases in the Philippines Exclusive Economic zone. Lady Death sees what she is doing as the former is looking at a map in the center of the planning room. Queen Oni marks six areas on the map. Strategically pinpointing key areas that she wants to show a demonstration of her newfound powers. And it's not going to be a simple demonstration of what she can do. But a destructive one with that totally devastate mankind. Queen Oni carefully maps out her strategy on how to commence the surprise attack. Lady Death decides to talk her and give some inputs of her own.

Lady Death: It seems that you are busy planning something big my queen.

Queen Oni: Yes I am. I want to show that God forsaken alliance that it is a big mistake to have my old self executed like a criminal.

Lady Death: I know how it feels to be betrayed. Especially when the person who betrayed you is your own father.

Queen Oni: Why did you decide on helping me when you're supposed to be enjoying your position as the queen of hell?

Lady Death: Because I want to see more killing in this dimension. Hell is nothing more than a playground for lost souls who fight each other to win my trust.

Queen Oni: I see. It's the same thing here on earth anyway. Those filthy humans only think of gaining power to control the world. But I won't let that happen.

Lady Death: Then who should have control of the world?

Queen Oni: I will be the one who should have control of the world.

Lady Death: What about the Sirens?

Queen Oni: I will deal with them later. For now I must prepare a little surprise for the alliance.

Lady Death: And that is?

Queen Oni: Show a little demonstration of the power they claim that I will use against them. It's time to make their suspicions a reality.

Lady Death: Where will you demonstrate your power?

Queen Oni: The four bases that China built in the West Philippine Sea. And then simultaneous to that will be an attack on the birthplace of Northern Parliament. Their motherland Russia.

Lady Death: 5 targets in one day. With the armada you assembled. There's no doubt that you will get positive results.

Queen Oni: Yes indeed. If you want. I can assign you to lead the Russia strike force.

Lady Death: It will be an honor to lead them. I always wanted to go back to the earth and attack it. Especially my birthplace.

While Queen Oni and Lady Death continue to discuss and make preparations for the surprise attack. Yorktown decides to visit Vestal who is currently detained at the brig. Hornet on the other hand is contemplating about leaving Azur Lane headquarters. Her only mindset is to find Enterprise's body. She assumes that her sister might have been resurrected as an ordinary human being. And that she is living a normal life without worrying about fighting the Sirens. As well as the arrival of a new threat to the earth.
