Chapter 4: Journey and Jealousy

As Custard Cookie the III gave Strawberry the two clips, she froze. She took them into her hands quickly and examined them. Tears swelled in her eyes.
"T-They're a-a-alive?" She managed to stammer.
"Yeah, our search party said they are indeed alive." Custard's expression then changed to sad. "But Pomegranate Cookie took them...we know since they saw her silhouette in the woods."
"Pomegranate?" I tilted my head in question. "Why her, what does she want?"
"We don't know, hey, new cookie? You're crying..." I turned to Strawberry Cookie and the teardrops were falling, she didn't even stop to look at us. "I don't like when my servants cry."
"Strawb?" My hand reached for her shoulder, and gently placed itself there. She was shaking, this must be hard for her...
"W-Why?!" She suddenly shouted. I grabbed her arm just in case she got willing to punch someone. "Why t-them? M-M-My s-sisters..."
She turned to me and hugged me, I wrapped my arms around her. Custard came behind her and hugged her as well.
"We can go look for them ourselves!" Custard Cookie the III suggested.
"Yeah, like a journey or quest!" I agreed. I saw her only nod in my chest. Poor little Strawberry. I hate that sensitivity exists.
"B-But...we find them..." She said. "Promise?"
"Promise." Me and Custard said at the same time.
"It's my duty to make my subjects happy!" Custard Cookie put a hand on her shoulder. "So we'll go and look for you're sisters!"
"R-Really?" Strawberry pulled away from my chest, still holding the hair clips in her warm hands.
"Really!" He replied back with a smile.
"Well, if we're looking for you're sisters, then we should better get good sleep." I suggested. "Since Pomegranate Cookie has an intendancy to...well, she likes to rematch in a fight."
"T-Then let's go. Thank you so much Custard Cookie the III." Strawberry smiled at him, and he smiled back, being glad the new cookie called him by his full name.
We walked back to home and Strawberry immediately went to my room, as neared upstairs, I heard her shuffling through a bag. Probably putting away the clips in her green backpack.
I peeked through the door and Strawberry Cookie was already in bed. I closed the door behind me and hopped into the bed beside her, bringing up to blankets close to us. And as I was about to drift into DreamLand, Strawb spoke.
"W-We'll find them, right?" She suddenly pondered.
"Of course, why?" I asked, concerned.
"Nothing..." I heard her mutter. "Goodnight..."
"Goodnight.." I replied to her.

Next day because haha

My face was buried in something soft, it smells like strawberries. I hugged it tighter and I heard a small yelp.
"Brave?" I heard a small voiced croak. A nickname, interesting...
"B-Brave?" The voice said again. I opened my eyes and realized I was hugging a very-awake Strawberry Cookie.
"O-Oh I'm sorry!" I pulled away from her.
"It's fine I guess..." She mumbled. She sat up, looking dazed. "I'm still tired though."
"It'll wear off eventually." I told her. "C'mon, we have to pack."
I guided her off of the bed and already realized she was already packed, it was only me who had to pack. I started to gather some stuff and pulled up a backpack to put them into, I stuffed a few belongings of mine, and a nice sweater in case it got cold.
I looked to Strawberry and she had the most giant lollipop I've ever seen, is that her weapon?
"I think I'm finished." I said, I heard a tiny, "okay" from her.
"Who's going on the trip?" I heard her ponder.
"Carmen will definitely go, and maybe Wizard, Chili, Crepe, and Creampuff."
"What about Pancake?" She asked with concern.
"He's going to be babysat by BlackBerry."
"Okay but who's Creampuff Cookie?" She queried.
"She had a hat on with some sort of white powder," I started to describe. "she looks like a graduate."
"Oh I've seen her then, I just don't know her." Strawberry replied. "Anyway, we should probably eat. It's better to eat now than later."
I nodded.

We were all together. We were at the entrance of the kingdom.
"This is so exciting!" Crepe exclaimed to Creampuff.
"Hey, I know it's exciting but you know the real mission right?" She tilted her head towards Strawberry, who was talking to Carmen Sandiego Cookie.
"We'll find them." Carmen told her, Strawberry smiled at her. "And once we do, I bet you're gonna be happy."
Strawberry giggled, it made me happy to see her this way. I thought she would be uncomfortable.
"What if we don't find her sisters?" Wizard unexpectedly came behind me.
"Well, we should. If Pomegranate has them, they should be alive." I replied.
"But what if her sisters join the dark cookies?" He pondered a bit more.
"They shouldn't. Her sisters would know who is right and who is wrong if Strawberry is on our side."
"I guess so."
"Okay, are we ready?" I heard Carmen ask.
"Yeah!"
