Hazel Hemsworth is officially in Beverly Hills which means that we get to celebrate with bottomless brunch at the beach. My cousin is practically the fourth Hemsworth sibling and I always love whenever we get together because she really is my spirit animal.
She lived an hour away from our home growing up so I didn't get to see her everyday but we spent every holiday and school break together.
"I miss these moments." I tell my cousin while sipping on my fourth cocktail. "I miss us running around the beach and grabbing our wetsuits so we could go surfing."
Hazel gives me a small nudge, "We could always do that here."
"I know but it's not the same." I smile sadly as I look down at my drink. "Life was so simple back then."
"Is it now?" She raises a brow at me and I shrug my shoulders. "What has you in a nostalgic mood?"
"Seeing the way things have changed."
Things have drastically changedsince we moved to America and the relationship that I share with my brothers has been the most noticeable difference. Chris bought his own home prior to making the full move to America whereas Liam and I got an apartment together in the Los Angeles area. We lived together for two years before buying our own houses as we had the money and just needed the space.
Chris adjusted the best to the move which was probably was due to him flying out here for work. He pretty much became his own man who didn't really need his siblings around him all the time which was a huge contrast from the life that we lived back home where we were all neighbours. I wasn't prepared to be sharing Chris with the world so there came periods where we didn't even speak.
I sometimes feel as if I don't have a place in his life but I have grown to accept that it's part of growth. The relationship that I have with Liam has only grown and he is the first person that I call or text in the morning.
