Easier
A Lab Rats: Elite Force One-Shot
A/N: I'm back, baby!
As I transitioned into the college years (I'm completing my freshman year this week), I realized how much I missed writing for fun. I have done little creative writing because I've been busy writing research papers (which I enjoy doing) and just feeling burnt out. So, this summer, I'm going to resume writing to cope with everything that is happening right now (as I plot my escape from Hell-I mean my home state) and maybe I'll be able to keep myself in a rotation of storylines and ideas once again.
I'll try to keep you all updated as much as possible on what I'm doing regarding writing. But, for now, enjoy Easier!
Life with lovebirds should, in theory, make his life easier, right? Because the time that they're doing whatever couples do gives him time to do what he needs to do in peace.
But why would it? If anything, it should just remind him of the constant feeling of loneliness and betrayal.
Betrayal. His entire life was betrayal. Whenever knew about his real creator until Marcus betrayed his family (minus Leo). Adam had betrayed him. Sebastian betrayed him and now Reese. Could he ever catch a break?
But why would Chase Davenport get a break? He's a bionic superhuman. The term break made sense, but the actual abstract act or state of a break wasn't a real thing for him. It was always go, go, go, go, go!
He didn't ask for this, he was born into the pure insanity of being a superhuman.
Was it worth it? It's questionable at this point. Because of him, his real father is still in a coma and is blind because of another betrayal.
Bree and Kaz tell him that it's not his fault. Skylar and Oliver are both focused on each other and ending the shapeshifter's reign to care, frankly. To them, this was just another bump in the road.
So, how did he find himself, trudging through mission command in another attempt at a cure?
He's not sure. Or maybe he is. He's not sure.
Maybe it's because it would be easier for him to clean up his own mistakes and move along. Keep people out of the situation so he could fix it himself.
It would be easier, yes. Much easier than admitting his wrongdoings and suffering from jealousy as the two couples double-dated upstairs as he crept around the penthouse for a water bottle or mug of tea.
"Let's do this." He mumbled as he filled the syringe.
He woke up.
Chase was right (as usual).
It was easier this way.

FanfictionFixing mistakes alone is easier said than done, especially when there is emotion and a super-smart bionic chip in your neck (Braz and Skyoliver). One shot to mark my return to fanfiction.
