Walking through the quiet streets, Hitoshi felt like the luckiest person in the world. Midoriya Izuku, the most wonderful boy with the most wonderful smile, was walking next to him, awkwardly trying to engage in conversation. It wasn't working of course, since Shinsou was way too lost in his hazy mind, too drunk on happiness to process anything.
They were going to his favourite café, not too far away from where they currently were. Walking down a quiet street, past tall buildings, tall trees, the tall sky, they were the tiniest beings in the universe, with their quiet, meaningless lives. Somehow, Hitoshi found comfort in that.
There were little to no people outside, which was surprising considering how fantastic this day was. How in every step Hitoshi took, he found more power, more joy and more motivation to keep going forward. Frankly, nobody would have ever called him an optimist and, he is sure, that if anybody he knew saw him right now, they would just think it's a person with a transformation quirk. Hitoshi was no longer scared of anything, feeling as if he could face all the dangers of the world. A big, dopey grin found it's way on his face. His cheeks were pink and his palms were sweaty, but he couldn't find it in himself to care. In a swift movement, he reached his hand out to the side. His fingers found Midoriya's hand, which were quite cold. Shinsou turned to look the boy in the face.
Midoriya was red. Like, really red. With his mop of green hair, he resembled a strawberry wearing a blue t-shirt. Shinsou barked out a loud laugh that slowly turned into a more gentle, quiet sound. Midoriya was staring right at him, so Shinsou gave him the biggest grin he could muster. He understood why Midoriya was nervous. It was his first date ever (which Shinsou found surprising by the way. The universe must have been waiting for him to come swoop Izuku up.) But now it felt so silly. What was this compared to all of the villains and monsters both of them have faced?
And with that, Shinsou took Midoriya's cold, crooked hands into his own warm and sweaty ones. It was quite a contrast.
