Chapter 3: Blood, bruises and crap.
Leo's dad drove him home and then immediately went to sleep. Everyone in the house was fast asleep besides his dog Daisy, so he was awake. Leo just stayed awake, in his room, for a long time. Every ten to twenty minutes, he checked his phone for any dms, nothing. It upset him very much, he started to sob. He sobbed and sobbed until his eyes turned straight up red. He eventually cried himself to sleep, his eyes were real puffy in the morning when he went to school. The entire lesson, everyone was staring at him, it was terrible and embarrassing.

Elliot's POV: His eyes are very puffy and red, it looks like he has been crying. Shoot, he did seem upset at the party, I wasn't hallucinating. Did I do that? Did I make Leo cry? I wanna say something but I think he is mad at me, he doesn't wanna talk, I'm sure. Whatever the heck Mr Vicknesh said, passed through my ears, glad the bell rang when it did.

"Leo, are you okay?"
"I'm fine."
"Are you sure?"
He just looks at me, with a death glare, I assume he doesn't wanna repeat his words.
"Are we good? Are you mad at me?"
"We're fine."
He walked away. Oh no, does my presence make him uncomfortable? I want answers but he avoids me every time I speak.

Leo's POV: why does everyone wanna talk to me now? It's just because i look like shit, everyone cares now. Elliot looked sad that I avoided him but screw everyone, they all suck. I want to be alone and just enjoy my food. I don't wanna sit with Chas or Sam either, neither Jas or Zara. Just me alone.
I run off to the abandoned bus parking lot behind the school, I used to eat here often when Sam made me pissed. It's pretty over there, it's quiet and peaceful. I open my lunch box and eat a bite of my regular sandwich, it tastes old. Suddenly, I hear the old road scrap, who the hell is here?
I turn my back, it's him, Elliot.

"For the love of god, leave me alone Elliot."
"I really wanna talk."
"I don't care, I don't want to!"
"Leo, please."
"You have five minutes, then I'll throw rocks."
"Thank you"
"I'm sorry, I know you expected a text from me and I'm sorry, my dad took my phone. Second, I'm really sorry for the party, I fucked up. I shouldn't have run away, or even do anything. I-I really like you and don't wanna lose you."
"Don't wanna lose me huh? Then, invite to me to your house."
"Deal! Free tonight?"
"Yes, we can study for Mr. Hinley's test together."
"Oh, I was thinking maybe movies?"
"We are gonna literally fail, no."
"Okay then, bye."
I was lightly glad he was going to leave, but he just sat there, staring at me. I jumped at him with open eyes, I was really close to him when I did that. I just stayed like that, glaring into his eyes and he glared back. I place my hands on what I think are the ground but is actually his thighs, I nervously glup. He moves his arms to my neck and places his thumb on the strand of hair, covering my face.
"Your eyes are really pretty, anyone told you that?"
"Elliot"-
My sentence was incomplete when he kissed me. He cupped my face and kissed me, it was nice. The only problem was that he kissed in school, we're literally in eyes everyone and well that's a problem. I kiss him back, obviously, I like him but I don't want to get caught. After a while, I pull away and grab my stuff to leave, he gets up after me.
"Headed to English?"
"Where else would I go? Idiot."
"Oh, okay then."
I run to the school gate as the bell rung, shoot, I'm late again. The stairs gave me a rough time, especially because I don't like stairs. The never ending hallway finally came to an end, I let out a deep exhale before stepping into the class, this time I'm surely in trouble.
"Good morning sir, sorry."
"Again, Leo?"
"Yes, I apologise."
"It's fine but next time, it won't be."
"Thank you sir."
I run to my seat, I already see Sam doing a worksheet. Rest of the class, my brain is just focused on Elliot, hanging at his place, every time the teacher asks me as a trick question, I shock him with a complete answer. Mr Fallen finally lets us go for recess two and all I think is about Elliot. I run frantically, searching for him, something smells weird, like cigarettes. I see Elliot's bag laying next to the garbage bin and I see smoke from the same direction. Is Elliot smoking? In school too? That idiot. I run over but I hear a voice, unrecognised able, I peer from around the corner, the conversation is heated up.
"Tell me! Where is it?"
"I told you a thousand times, I don't have it."
Finally, I reconnected the dots, it was Joseph! Threatening Elliot? Doesn't make sense.
"Stop lying or I'll punch you again."
"Please, I don't have anything."
"Who do I ask then?"
"I don't know and don't care, it's not my problem."
Joseph loudly sighs, I assume he takes his stuff and walks off. Elliot sighs in pain, he groans, I couldn't take it. I walk in, pretending I didn't hear anything.
"Elliot! What the hell happened?!"
"Stop acting, you heard everything, didn't you?"
"That doesn't matter, are you okay?"
Elliot groaned in pain, applying pressure to his stomach.
"Please don't tell anyone."
"Obviously, I won't."
I'm overwhelmed with the amount of blood and bruises all around his arms and face. I try touching his face, he skids.
"Let me see."
"It hurts, idiot."
I look at the bruise, it's bigger than the palm of  my hand, I face plant. What am I to do now? Elliot whispered something under his breath, inaudible from the loud cars.
"What'd you say?"
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to."
"I don't care, Elliot, but how am I gonna help?"
"I don't need help, I'm fine."
"Fine?! You're bleeding and so ma"-
"Leo, I'm fine.
A panic breaks out in my head, he is lying. He is groaning in pain, he is really hurt. His leg bent in, his face covered in bruises and cuts, his clothes ripped up and covered in dirt, stains and new red stains. I look at him and tear up. He immediately stands up straight, he gasps in pain but remains same form. My head falls down, trying to hide the fact I was crying.
"Leo, it's okay."
"It's not! I promised myself that I wouldn't let you get hurt and look at you! You're bleeding and I-I can't."
"Leo, I'm fine, trust me."
"Stop lying, you're beaten up."
"Go to class, now."
"No, I'm gonna stay here until you are okay."
He sits down on the dirty cement road, one hand on his stomach, another on the ground. I sat by him, hands on the floor, just admiring the wind.
"We are gonna make out, aren't we?"
"We both know."
I place my head on his shoulder, the one that isn't bruised. He places his head on mine and we both enjoy the lovely wind. The leaves are swaying, the cars are swerving and the birds are chirping, what a scene. He lifts my head and grabs my neck, he pulls me in.
"Making up for that terrible first kiss."
"It was terrible, it was fine."
He kisses me, a full on kiss, not just a small peck. I kiss back, slowly moving onto his lap, he pushed against the wall. No one is there to intrude, just us. He pulls away.
"Now how did you end up on me?"
"Shoot, don't we have to go to the clinic?"
"Or we can make out more."
"Elliot! Come on, you are bleeding anyways."
