INTRODUCTION.

Downpour - The name and story is inspired from the song downpour by ioi.

Disclaimer - This is just a work of fiction so everything here is an imagination and nothing about thr idols in real life plus DO NOT READ if you are uncomfortable.

TW - major character d3ath, cursing, accusation of cheating.

Storyline - Choi yeonjun and choi soobin have been dating since 1st year of college for 3 years now. One day yeonjun was on his way to pick up soobin from the bakery when he saw soobin with a stranger and then later that night both of them had a heated argument but yeonjun didn't expect what would it result to due to soobin having a disease about which yeonjun wasn't aware.

START.

It was a calm evening after college when yeonjun was walking on his way to the bakery where his boyfriend soobin worker part time after college ended and usually yeonjun went their as well to accompany the younger back to their shared apartment.

Yeonjun was about to enter the bakery when he saw soobin talking to a guy but he couldn't see his face since he was standing facing soobin. So yeonjun thought to hide behind a car parked infront of the bakery and watch what was going on. After a few minutes he saw soobin escorting the male out and hugging him before walking inside the bakery again. Yeonjun couldn't Handel his anger after seeing this so he decide to go to one of his friends house to clam down before going back to their shared apartment.

TIME SKIP.

It was around 7:30 pm when the front door unlocked making soobin's attention shift to it, the younger had a big smile plastered on his face to welcome his lover. Yeonjun on the other hand wasn't happy at all his anger has gone away but still he felt hurt after seeing what happend earlier, he walked inside and saw soobin sitting on the desk smiling at him as he said " welcome back,love ! " but yeonjun didn't say anything and just nodded as he noticed soobin was holding a pen and a piece of paper on the desk and beside it was a box wrapped up beautifully with some cute heart stickers on them. That was it,yeonjun couldn't hold back his anger anymore and spoke up " Is that for the guy earlier from the bakery ? " soobin looked at him being confused and asked " what ? Who are you talking about ? " Yeonjun felt his anger rising but he tried to stay clam and said " Drop the act choi soobin. You know what I mean, the guy with whom you are cheating on me ". " Cheating on you ? What the fuck do you mean choi yeonjun? Why would I do that and what makes you think that ? Answer me ! " he said feeling shocked at the sudden accusation. " That letter you are trying to write and that box with heart sticked on it makes it so clear plus you fucking escorted that guy out and hugged him before he left ! What else is that suppose to mean ? Answer me ! " shouted yeonjun finally letting out the anger he has been holding in. After hearing to what his lover just said he couldn't hold back his tears they started to fall as he thought that this same thing keeps going on and on everytime, ever since they started dating it keeps going on. Just beacuse yeonjun's ex cheated on him doesn't means soobin will too, he understands that the elder male has trust issues but that doesn't means Soobin has to keep going through this again and again he is tried of it too. He has tried to unsee this and explain himself alot of time before this just to protect their relationship and just beacuse he loved yeonjun so much but this was the last string so he looked up at yeonjun as he said " I'll be moving out, I hope that will make it better for you choi yeonjun, thank you for everything and for all the memories. " His tears rolled down his eyes as he walked to their shared bedroom and packed up his bags and walked to the living where yeonjun was sitting down onto he couch while his hands are covering his face and only sobbing could be heard now in the apartment which was once filled with laughter and happiness. He took a look at yeonjun for the last time and walked out of the apartment closing the door behind him and made his way to his parents house.

TIME SKIP AFTER 2 DAYS.

It was sunset time and yeonjun was lying on his bed as he remembered every memory of him and soobin and smiled unconsciously as he thought about it. Suddenly, his phone rang which made him snapped out of his thought as he looked down to see the caller ID it was huening kai one of his best friends, he picked up the called spoke " yes hyuka what it is ? " it didn't take much time before huening kai said " hyung can you please come to xxx - xxx hospital please right now it's very important !! " before yeonjun couldn't say anything huening kai had ended the call and even his voice was worried so yeonjun didn't waste another second and took his phone,keys and put on his shoes as he ran to the hospital since it was very close from his house. On his way there he was hoping that whatever happend wasn't too bad and everything was alright.

TW // D3ATH.

Once he reached the hospital he went to the room which huening kai had messaged him. As the room approached he could hear sobbing and people crying that made him very worried and once he reached he saw 3 of his friends huening kai, taehyun and beomgyu standing at the enterance of the room crying. " what's happening? Why are Y'all crying ? " he asked being scared about what rhe answer will be, none of them said anything but move from the front of the door so yeonjun could see what was going on inside. " No.. No way.. " that's all he could say after seeing his lover lying on the hospital bed,lifeless. " This is a lie ? Isn't it ? He will wake up right? " he said as he walked inside crying and went towards soobin who was now gone forever. Yeonjun saw his parents sitting on the other side as they kept crying, he wanted to comfort them but then again he was hurting so much he felt his world was crashing apart as he saw the love of his life infront of him laying down looking like he was sleeping but then he realized he won't wake up this time and talk to him. He cried and cried as he held the younger 's hand and said " I'm sorry, I'm so sorry for everything soobin I wish I could to change everything and get you back. " he sat down there holding his hand and crying but soon he was taken away. Yeonjun shouted like crazy at the people who came to take away soobin but his friends held him back as soobin was been taken away from him and this was the last time he ever saw him in this lifetime. " I'm sorry, I'm so sorry " he said as he fell down on the floor of the hospital room crying while his friend tried to comfort him even though they were hurting as well but they had to be strong for yeonjun and comfort him.

TIME SKIP AFTER THE FUNERAL.

Yeonjun was looking up at the sky when he said " you're gone and I can't believe it yet " he stared to cry once again when he felt a hand around his shoulder so he looked to see who it was and saw that it was his friends kai,beomgyu and taehyun standing there with something in the hand which looked familiar to him. " soobin hyung left this for you. " Said taehyun with a small smile plastered on his face as he handed a envelope and a box, Yeonjun suddenly remebred where he saw the box it was the same box from the day he had the argument with soobin or to say the last time he ever saw soobin. He took the box and envelope and spoke " Thank you,guys.. " he tried to smile but then looked down at the box which made his heart ache.

AT HIS APARTMENT.

Yeonjun sat down as he took out the letter and started reading.

" Dear Yeonjun,
Hey love ! You are probably reading this when I'm gone and I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier beacuse I didn't wanted to see you sad so I hope you aren't sad even while reading this and you are smiling. But I'm thankful for all the memories you gave me all these 3 years and all the love too,I love you so much don't forget that and I hope you'll be happier in the future with someone who will make you happy. Also about that day the guy I was talking to was a friend of mine to helped me to make a gift for you so I was hugging him to thank him. I'll keep this short so please open the box and listen to the gift I prepared for you,I hope you'll like it and let's meet again next time, thank you for everything yeonjun I love you so much.

Soobin".

Yeonjun could feel his tears falling as he finished reading but he immediately picked up the box and unwrapped the box and then opend it to see a pen drive inside it. He got up and brought his laptop as he plugged in the pen drive and played the file and heard soobin's voice where he said " it will be fine, treat it like a passing downpour " and started to sing a song named downpour which he had written and gifted to yeonjun as his last gift. Yeonjun sat there as he heard soobin's angelic voice singing the song which was now echoing in the apartment and felt like soobin was sitting beside him as he sang the song.
