We were walking through the woods to the place were the rouges where waiting for us. I was holding onto Jason scared at what lay waiting. Suddenly I heard laughing that made chills run up my spine.

"You've finally arrived." The voice I heard was one I hopped to never here again.

"What do you want?" I snapped. He laughed throwing his head back.

"Awe why so rude, Clara dear?" I growled.

"Say one more thing to her and I'll have your head." Jason growled.

"But she was with me." He remembered are code. I let go of Jason and kicked the man from my past- just following protocol. He went flying into a nearby tree. Anger rushed through me. He could have used a nicer tone to my mate. I walked up to him and stepped on his throat.

"What do you want? I will not ask you again."

"Clara." Jason said warning me.

"Speak Clarence, before I kill you." Clarence just laughed. To anyone who did not know this laugh it would sound like he was tormenting me.

"Why do you think I'm here. Your father."

"He was the one who sent me here! Why would he want me back?!"

"He wanted you to suffer." I stepped back shocked. I felt Jason's arms wrapped around me.

"W-why?"

"You look too much like your mother. You know he thinks you took her from him." I could feel tears pool behind my eyes.

"Lock him in a cage. I need time to gather my thoughts, before I kill him."

"Men, you heard her." Jason backed up my words. I turned and put my face in his chest.

"You need a man to protect you. The girl I knew fought on everything said that she was against." I pulled myself from Jason's grasp and took Clarence from the men who had him.

"I have learned when I need to shut my mouth." I held him by the throat. "Say one more thing and you'll wish you were never born." My voice was barely a whisper, but it held so much power I could feel the men around me shake including Jason.

"Babe, there is no need to do that." My head snapped to Jason.

"You don't know this man like I do." My voice was harsh as I growled at Jason. I noticed the slight step back he took. Strangely it calmed down my wolf. I turned back to Clarence. "You will behave while you are here and maybe just maybe I'll let you live." I dropped him and started walking back to the pack house.

"Clara, wake up." Jason shook me gently awake. I rolled over ignoring him.

"Go away, I don't want to talk." I was feeling like crud. I had somehow managed to get a cold. Werewolves don't normally get sick so of course I was surprised.

"Your father wants to speak with you over the phone."

"I'm not going to talk to him." I growled.

"You have to." His voice was soft.

"Fine, but it'll only be for a few seconds." I said as I ripped the blankets off me. We walked to Jason's office in silence. He handed me the phone. "What do you want, Father." My voice was full of hate. It startled Jason.

"I just missed you, Clara. Is that a bad thing?"

"You mean you missed me being at you beck and call."

"Don't say that!" My father was getting mad at me. "That's far from the truth."

"I don't think it is. Do you know the pain I went through! You are an alpha you are supposed to save people, not harm them!" I was crying. I heard Jason get up from his spot at his desk and move to sit beside me. "You are no father of mine. You'll never be and I'm not coming-" Jason put a hand over my mouth.

"He'll start a war, if you finish saying that."

"You're not going where?"

"To the lake." Jason said. "I told her you wanted to meet at the lake. She was the one who said no." He was lying for me.

"I have to many things to do around here. I'm sorry. Plus I don't want to fight with you in person so I thought-"

"That, over the phone was fine?!" My father was beyond pissed and it scared me. I remembered when I would stand up for myself and he would beat me after he used the alpha command on me many times.

"I'm sorry." I let out a fake sob. I had learned to master fake crying to get him to stop yelling at me. "Don't worry I'm faking it." Jason nodded with a concerted look on his face.

"Even from so far away, you are still scared of me." I dropped the phone, as my father said the truth of my fears. I clutched onto Jason's shirt and sobbed for real this time. I heard my father cackling on the other side of the phone. I picked it up and crushed it in my hand, then went back to sobbing.

"Babe it'll be okay. I wont let him hurt you." His voice was soft but reasuring at the same time.

"Okay." I stood. "I have to go for a run will you come with me?" Jason nodded. We walked outside and I shifted as soon as the front door was closed. Jason was looking over my wolf form. I had white fur with silver streaks- which I think is weird. The scars I had on my stomach had stayed with me in my wolf form; you could see the edge of one of them on my side. I had a scar on my rid cage that you could see clearly now. My wolf form made it obvious I had been beaten because there were scars everywhere. I was able to keep them hidden when I was in human form but when in wolf form you see every scar. Me and my wolf were very subconscious of our wolf form, but we were happy the fur was starting to grown back on the scars; it was something that rarely happens. I'm happy the moon goddess allowed it to happen this time.

"You like?" I asked him using our mate bond.

"Yes." He spoke out loud.

"I was the biggest female wolf in my old pack." Jason looked proud.

"Your still the biggest female wolf." If I was in human form I would've been smiling. Jason shifted and we ran into the woods that were nearby. We ran for awhile before we came to a lake. We had a nice long drink before I tackled him playfully. I jumped off him and run a few feet away. He stood his tail was wagging. He run after me as I ran away.
