Panicked, Kei ran out of the house and to his car not bothering to put on his seat belt. The only thing going through his mind was 'is she okay?' as he sped down the highway. Tears were threatening to fall but he held himself together, soon losing it though when he hit a red light. As tempted as he was to run it he knew he would waste more time getting a fine and ticket for running the light then if he was to wait it out. "Damn it!" he yelled, smashing his fists down on the steering wheel. "Why can't I keep anything?! Why does everything get taken away from me?!" He sat there pondering the thoughts running through his mind whilst waiting for the light to turn green. "Turn green damn it!" he veered off to the right leaving his car at a gas station before getting out and running the rest of the way to the hospital. He was so focused on getting to the hospital that he didn't acknowledge the rain pouring down from the sky like angry tears falling for the beautiful face of mother nature. As he slammed open the doors of the hospital he noticed tobio abruptly stand up in the corner of the waiting room.

"Kei" he said as he ran to the soaking wet blonde who doubled over in pain. "Kei you're all wet, did you run here?"

"The light" he said panting, "it...it wouldn't turn...green"

"Where's your car?"

"At a gas station somewhere"

"Kei you realize the nearest gas station is a mile and a half away right? And that's just the nearest one, we don't even know where you ran from, '' Tobio said as he helped the blonde over to the waiting room chairs. "Wait here, i'll go get you a towel and some water"

"No please just...just stay here i dont know what will happen if you walk away" kei said wrapping his arms around tobio, making sure his hold was tight, as if the raven will disappear.

"Okay...im here" tobio said. He sat back down wrapping his arms back around the blonde not bothering to mention how they would both end up soaked. After a wait of what seemed like hours, which was only twenty minutes, a doctor came out.

"Tobio kageyama?"

"Yes, that's me." Tobio carefully stood up, still holding kei. "Is she alright? Can we see her?"

"She's stable, but try to keep the noise and light to a minimum"

"Come on kei, lets go" tobio held the blonde up. They rushed down to the room the doctor directed them to. They quietly opened the door and saw the little old lady looking out the window with that same fond smile she always wore.

"Oh, why hello there! What brings you two to my room today?" she said with a bright smile, the same smile as always but today it seemed...brighter.

Tobio chuckled " glad to see you're feeling alright, obaasan"

"How are you two even remotely happy right now? Shes dying"

"Kei!" tobio said releasing himself from kies grip making the both of them miss the warmth.

"We have humor dear, besides, life is not nearly long enough to only look at the negatives" she looked back out the window, "i'm still here aren't i?"
