"so Christina, anyone special I'm the crowd you're looking for tonight," asked an interviewer at the MTV awards

Christina smiled and looked down at her shoes, she was blushing profoundly

"I'm she's not in the crowd tonight but she's watching from home" Christina smiled at the camera and waved slightly as if she knew you were watching her right now from your couch.

"oh so it's a she?" he cocked his head

"yeah is there a problem" she immediately became defensive

"no no no that's not what I'm implying at all you just never have- " he immediately tried to defend himself not wanting to lose his career because of this interview

"yeah I think this interview is over" she walked away and took her head in the audience hoping that her mood lightens up before she has to go preform.

of course, it would help if you were here with her but you weren't ready to be out with her publicly. this was the first time she'd even spoke about you in that way.

2009

"Christina I hear you and y/n are tying the knot?" asked ellen during her most recent interview

"umm well we're definitely thinking about it" Christina chuckled nervously feeling slightly uncomfortable at the sudden change of subject

it's known to the word Christian doesn't like slander around those she loves and she gets especially defensive when it comes to you.

the subject of you had kinda stayed untouched ground of interviews starting with the first occurrence in 2001 so she was shocked to be hearing about you from ellen

"how does y/n feel about all of this?" she asked

"if it were up to her we would have been married in 2002" she joked lightly hoping to keep everything light-hearted

"we'll what's the hold up, we've watched you little love birds for years" ellen kept pushing

"it's just not a top priority for us right now, we're happy" ellen sensed her tone and where it was going so it was quickly shut down.

2012

"first id like to congratulate the both of you.. it's just fantastic" Jimmy Falon looked at you and your wife sitting together on the couch beside him

"thank you" the both of you smiled at him then at each other in the adorable fashion the two of you seemed to carry wherever you went.

there was always love in the air when around the two of you. it was amazing to everyone throughout all the slander and hate the two of you have been together since 2001 and tied the knot on your 11th anniversary

"so.. can I ask whats next?" he gently put his hands on Christina's as to warn her for his questions about the two of you

"babies?" you cooed looking at your wife for approval

sh rolled her eyes and shook her head playfully

"shes crazy, I don't know what the hell she talking about" Christina joked

"well... happy wife happy life" Jimmy shrugged and you high fived him

"Please don't put ideas in her head" Christina kept up the playful teasing yet held your hand tightly nodding her head at you

it was a yes.

2014

"two years later and you're back" Jimmy joked as the two of you just welcomed your first child into the world a few months ago

"how's life as new parents?" he asked as your wife grabbed your hand

you were more than anxious to leave Max for the first time, she said she could do the interview alone but you insisted on coming

since your marriage it was rare she went on talk shows without you. you found it sweet.

she didn't like to be apart from you any longer than she had to and you were watching her slowly develop the same trait with her son

"I love it" you cheered from behind Christina and she turned to look at you as you were was speaking

"yes y/n I'm sure you're thrilled after two long years your wish finally came to true" Jimmy smiled at you as the crowed awed

"in all honesty he's really great. we really lucked out with Max" Christina smiled at the thought of her baby son back at home

"who old is he?" jimmy asked

"he'll be 4 months next week" she smiled proudly as her grip on your hand tightened

2022

"Hello, girls welcome back" jimmy greeted as the two of you walked out

"how are the kids you have 2 now correct," he asked as the three of you took your seats

"yeah max is 10 and summer just turned 4" Christina smiled

"I can't believe it, the two of you have been together 21 years now married for 10 years with two kids. happy anniversary by the way" he congratulated and the audience clapped for the two of you making the smile on your face grow

"thank you, thank you so much" Christina smiled at the audience then jimmy

"I've seen pictures of Summer by the way she's gorgeous, and Max he's so big now. y/n he looks just like you"

"yeah, Max is my little man, Summer though.. that's all Christina defiantly her child" you joked thinking of the sassy little 4 year old

"she's a baby Christina and I could be happier about it" you smiled widely at your wife

as the interview went on you couldn't take your eyes off Christina as she talked

you fell more and more in love with her every day

watching he mother your children.. watching her make beautiful music or just simply watching Christina be Christina. the same little goofball you met in 2001.

you couldn't be happier with the way things have turned out.
